Title: Bikes needed for Calendar
Post by: JK-vtwin on October 14, 2004, 12:32:01 PM
We are looking for some nice race setups to be featured in our 2005 calendar.  We supply the model.

If you are interested please send me a photo at RaceDates@hotmail.com (please make it a small photo because of Email limitations) along with your location.  We may do some shooting at Homested next week so if you will be there please let me know ASAP.

I can provide more information and answer any questions at RaceDates@hotmail.com

Thanks

Jamie

2004 Aprilia RSV Mille Factory
2005 Ducati 999R (2 weeks)

Detroit.   I can send pics of the Mille this weekend, and the Ducati i'm not sure if you want it in race drag.  I have to get special bodywork for that one.   Bike is in route.

Lemme know.

Where are you located? How far you travel?

Yes we would like the bikes in full race gear.

We are in Columbus Ohio.  How far we travel depends on the bike or if we are in the area for a race or track day.

We also plan to shoot at all the race venues over the next race season for the 2006 calendar.

Thanks for the relies so far...

Jamie

What bodywork did you use?  I *thought* only the Ducati Corse bodywork would fit, or is that only if your using the 54 mm full Termi exhaust

 ???

Also, the 05 is supposed to be up on the "ponies" since the last gen 999R.   Very noticable difference or is it  :-/

Waiting impatiently for mine  :(

...........................................hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha..................................................lol.................................................

Jamie, I am not here to bad-mouth Dan, but to get you to be more realistic about the situation according to the Dan's record.  Don't expect too much as it'll probably turn out that Dan's house was burnt the night before and the bikes are destroyed, or due to his wife and kid, he won't be able to meet with you as planned...........................Anyway, I am trying to say that this may very well be another "day-dreaming" session............::)

I have a rare Honda RVF400 (NC35), but the race bodywork is really not pretty (not painted and dirty right now), otherwise I would offer it to add some diversity/flavor in your calendar.   ;)

the MV is in chicago. The owner of it is in vegas right now  if you look on slider photo he is # 171. I don't know if he is interested but IMO the bike would look great in a calender.

I have Sharkskinz on it. It has to be trimmed around the swingarm, but it fits good everywhere else. The bike is fast! I was staying even with GSXR100s at Firebird main last week.

Sweet  8)  I was wondering what was going on because I was told that only the Ducati Corse  "aviofibre" stuff fits right, and nobody else makes a direct install kit without mods.    Hopefully Sharkskinz will have a "bolt up" set by the New Year.  I'm going to take it next month to the track day at Jennings and try her out, but I'm kinda weary of riding it with the stock carbon on it.   Now I just have to learn to twist my right wrist without "puckering up" on that thing  :-[
