Title: Paging Reverend_Rice: MOTO GP SPOILER
Post by: cornercamping on September 19, 2004, 10:27:53 AM
Hey Reverend,

Wanna just back out of our bet now and make the donation to SuperDave today instead of waiting for the rest of the GP season to end?   If you want, we can double the bet and I'll spot you another 20 points for your boy Biaggi on the championship  ;)  Wanna tripple the bet for 40 points?  ::)  I'm giving you the chance to win still if you want to take it.  You seriously think your boy Biaggi stands a chance at a GP championship  ??? ::) Can you say I TOLD YOU SO  ;D  Here's the official standings as of today.  You wanna just pay up now and call it a day, or you wanna keep it going.   How about this, I'll give you 60 points for your boy Biaggi for a $500.00 bet payable to SuperDave's charity.  Deal? :)  ROSSI IS GOD !

Corner bats 1000 on my cancer program.... ;D

Seems like I get to win either way.

Rossi is just smoking.  Might need a KZ2000 for me to beat any of the GP guys...

Is there a goal for the year  ???  What's the current annual record  ???  We have the whole off season to place bets for next season too  ;D  I'm hoping that he'll take the 60 points and go for $500  ;)  What was the original bet  ???  I gotta go find the thread for the record  ;D

Original bet?  The one I'm talking about is the one between you and H-man.  You're both great.

How much so far?

Not as well as I wanted to.

Several things made it really hard.  FUSA does not have a big spectator base.  FUSA purse was almost nil for 2004.  I couldn't come up with enough financial support to get me to the races.  I've been underemployed as a racing instructor/racer/etc for quite a long time.  I have great support from some of my sponsors for this....4&6, Mason Racin' Tire, Michelin, Sliderphoto, Sportsmans Park Yamaha...but I still need to get there and buy entry fees.  Still had to buy all the shirts up front too...mostly.

But it's an idea that I enjoy.

I got a boost from the bonus money from VoiceEclipse.  I've did a suspension seminar for the WADE group at Corse Superbikes...I have a potental bonus going to the MACC Fund too.

Back to that big question.  I believe that I've got nearly $2k here, but I won't know exactly how much I have until I get closer to selling all the shirts, figuring how much of my purse money goes into all this, etc.

I fell short of my personal goal, but I might have some "bonus" money that might get me to $10k, or at least closer.

Goal for next year?  I'd like to do $100k...just need people...so I'd have to return to AMA racing.  With 400k in spectators, that would help.  Again, I need money to do it.  Simple as that.  I'm very good at doing this with nothing;  experience tells me what I can skimp on.

listen here butt tulip... wait until the damn race has aired on speed before you post this crap. The fact that you address this to me says that Rossi came out ahead of Biaggi you clown. Original bet stands and now STFU until the season is over and let me enjoy my new son.   >:(

Well, you can add another $100 at the minimum coming from the good Reverend.  ;D

How much does it cost to run a privateer team for a full AMA season  ??? $3 or $4K a weekend?  Could be a goal to set.  You never know....

I know tons of people, and I can put a huge word out.  Especially if your talking something like AMA, and you never know where it leads.  But, in the mean time, I'll continue to win bets  ;D  Too bad some of these manufactuerers don't step up.  They can afford to spend tons of money on other crap, but don't necessarily do what's best with the money.    :-/
Too bad ya couldn't get a private track day set up with some "pro/celebrity" riders that would be willing to "boost" attendance by showing up and doing a few laps or something.   I remember last year when I went to Jennings during the STT track day with Colin Edwards.   That was sick.  Tons of people, mostly there to be able to "ride with Edwards."  I think damn near half the people there were there just for that.   Imagine if you could get Rossi there.   Most club racers would probably show up, except Reverend Rice of course  ::) :P ;D  I think the AMA thing would be cool, because since you have access to "the stars" you could send someone around get some stuff signed to auction off on ebay and such.  That could work out well.  The T-shirts signed by "stars" would definetly sell alot quicker.  Plus, the whole AMA thing could bring alot more support.

P.S.  Biaggi DIDN'T FINISH A COMPLETE LAP.  Only made it half way thru turn one  ;D

I saw your post at noon Dan. Put it this way.. why would you put a spoiler addressed to me unless it was Rossi coming out ahead? Do you get what I'm saying?

Not possible.   Ask SuperDave.  I posted it AFTER the races.  Don't know exactly what time, but it sure as hell wasn't at noon.  Sorry, try again.   ;D  Good try though.   ;)

You still haven't learned yet.  What makes you think that Biaggi would be ahead of Rossi  ???  That's how you got into this mess in the first place  ;D

That's irrelevant. The season isn't over. Do you normally rub people the wrong way or is it just your charming internet personality?
