USD forks
Radial calipers (master cyl is the same)
Redesigned motor/exhaust/F.I.
Lost weight (361 dry)
BHP claim of 115.3 @13k

Radial calipers & the rigidity of USD forks is enough for me...

Roger's been jonesin' for one of these for the street, wait 'til he hears about the tweaks and sees the flame body work.  ;) ;D He'll be droolin' like Homer for donuts...

The forks look like the ones on the GSXR-600/750 and the new/old kawi ZX-6R(RR), which I think are all Showa parts.

Just when I thought I was going to get a 750.

I was thinking about Stumpy, Chef and JeF4y when I posted it.

I wish I could have seen their faces when they first saw or heard the news.  I'm sure these guys already new about though.

It's all marketing.

The new R6 will come out.

Let's see, USD forks, radial monoblock Yamaha calipers with Brembo radial master cylinder, undertail exhaust with revised piping, new spec motor, maybe a steering dampener mount....available in Champion Blue red and limited edition black.  How about 113 claimed HP with increased midrange from new FI system.

Certainly keeps everyone buying new bikes.

It's not like Stumpy was on the phone arguing with the Honda Red Rider rep last night because his log in wasn't working or anything. He didn't even tell her his day was ruined or anything when she said it wouldn't work for 72 hours.   ::)

Only problem is date of delivery probably doesn't coincide with the 2005 race schedule.  We'll just have to keep our knickers in a twist until then!

mmmm....fresh Hondas......mmmmmmm

I found out about it around 10am yesterday.  Info trickled in during the day.

I was supposed to go to the roll-out in TN, but work took precedence.

Heather, they're claiming a 12/04 availability, but if I see one on a showroom floor by 3/05 I'll be amazed...

Most certainly the rest of the pack (yam/suz/kaw) will have their upgrades as well...  Indeed Dave, it does keep a person spending...

Stop crashing or you won't have any spares!  :o  ;D

Wheels & rotors appear the same, but MAY differ due to the forks & swingarm changes (maybe different axle size).  THe rotors are the same dimensions.

Rearsets should swap, radiator should swap.  Fairing stay should work.  Subframe will be questionable...
