Title: Jennings GP Sept 11-12 Cancelled
Post by: TiffineyIngram on September 08, 2004, 09:21:01 AM
Just in from Florida Region Race Director Henry DeGouw. "This weekends CCS Florida/Southeast event scheduled for Jennings GP has been cancelled. Due to the damages and shortages caused by Hurricane Frances and the impending arrival of Hurricane Ivan, we felt it unfair and unwise to move forward with this event when so many of our racers and staff have been directly effected by this disaster."  This race will not be re-scheduled and CCS Florida will release more detailed information on the remaining Florida events as the facts become available.

I assume those of us that are pre-registered won't have to pay now...right?

No you will not be charged a dime, Henry has already made this statement on the Jennings GP forum
"I can assure all those who pre-entered this race that their checks have not been deposited and will not be. We will move them or destroy them, whatever the rider prefers."

on a different note- good luck to the Florida area racers and crews on restoration of damage and with the new hurricane coming in.  This is a great reason to come race the FUSA national in Vegas!  it will most likely be hot enough to dry out all your stuff.
