QuoteGet your photo on a full page in the 2005 SliderPhoto.com calendar as well as a 20x30" poster. All proceeds of the auction go to the winner's choice of either the Wegman Benefit Fund for injured racers (http://www.wegmanfund.org/) or the Road Racing World Action Fund (http://actionfund.roadracingworld.com/).
If you're not familiar with the SliderPhoto Calendar, take a look at the 2004 preview here: http://www.sliderphoto.com/calendar/2004.htm. The calendar contains over 200 racing and track day photos from different tracks around the country: Beave Run, Mid Ohio, Gingerman, Grattan, Putnam Park, Blackhawk Farms, Road America, Gateway, and Mid America Motorplex. The 2005 calendar will be professionally printed with edge-to-edge, full-blead photos. It's going to be the best one yet!
Your photo(s) will be displayed on a full page for one of the months in the calendar along with your name and sponsors. Here's a chance to get your sponsors or Web site prime exposre to thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts. And of course bragging rights for your friends and family.
This auction is open to riders that I have a photo of or will see at events in August. See my schedule page for more information: http://www.sliderphoto.com/schedule. Final photo(s) selection and placement will be determined by SliderPhoto.com.
Second Chance?
So you're afraid of being sniped at the last second? You still could win! An entry will be made for each bidder of this auction. A drawing will be held and that winner will have their photo in at least the background of a month--a prime location in the calendar.
When the auction has ended, both winners will be e-mailed and have 48 hours to respond or the next highest bidder or another drawing winner will be picked.

Advertising in the calendar is still available. Contact Jack Beaudry at 262.719.0412 or e-mail jackb@sliderphoto.com for more information.

My favorite photo of me is #282101*****
Let me know if I make the cut, thanks Jack!
Got your e-mail Chuck. Thanks!

I dunno... I can't bring up ebay @ work. I did call Jennifer though and have her place my bid.

Hey Jack,
The listing looks great. Good idea too!
Hey Jack,
so do we get to pick the month?
QuoteHey Jack,
so do we get to pick the month?
Yes. That shouldn't be a problem.
You gonna spill what the reserve price is?
QuoteYou gonna spill what the reserve price is?
Sure. The reserve is $250. Thanks for the bid!
One more question... do we get to pick which picture gets on the calendar, even if it's not our own? Like, let's say, Super Dave in his bikini?
;D ;D ;D ;D

There's a reason I said," Final photo(s) selection and placement will be determined by SliderPhoto.com."
Nice try Edgar. ;D ;D

Doh, that was the white flag. ;D You've been passed. :'(
Some one just flew past me on the straight Jack. Maybe I can catch 'em. :o ;) ;D
Less than two days left. Auction ends Sunday Aug-15-04 05:59:52 PDT--I didn't plan that too well ::)
It can end at 6am pacific. Nobody on the left coast should be bidding anyhow! ;D

Yeah, Sunday morning, 6AM and Barber this weekend. Oh well, maybe that will take care of the snipers. :)

I always thought that the last second sniping was the most exciting part about ebay auctions ;D
How far do you dare let it go... bid with a minute left? 30 sec? 15? What if I wait too long and someone outbids me and there's not enough time left to get another bid in? Very tense moments for the bidders and the seller!
Best advice for bidders - bid as high as you can and hope that the others cut it too close to get another last second bid in when they realize that they've still been outbid by you - your bid will only be ratcheted up high enough to keep you as the high bidder. Provided you bid high enough in the first place ;D
But then if you're in Jack's place you want to stretch those last few seconds just a little bit longer so that everybody has a chance to throw that last few $10 or $20 in to get them back to the top! Nothing worse than someone wishing they would have bid just a little bit higher and time has run out :'(
Ah.... the strategy! Ya gotta luv it! More exciting than an underwater hockey game ;D
More than $300 was a little too rich for my blood, but it's good to see that you got a buyer with such positive feedback. :o :)
D@mn. I should've gone to $325. I really really thought this would go for $500. Oh Well. Let us know which charity the winners picks! :D
CCS Racer Jonny Moore won the auction. Jonny said, "As far as the donation...both funds are very worthy and for that reason I'd like to split it right down the middle between the two." Sounds good. I'll send a check in the next day or two to both charities in Jonny's name.
Ebay user ID 2dedge won the secondary drawing for a photo in a month background. I sent an e-mail this morning via Ebay.
Thanks to everyone that participated!
e-bay user 2dedge has replied. It's Edgar... God help us all! ;D
heh, heh, heh... ;D ;D ;D
Now I just need to find the picture I want to use. Let me see...Since I can't use Super D in his thong, where is that pic of Paul on K3's bike?
;D ;D ;D
