Are you going to Barber?
Mel
I'll know for sure in a few days, but I'm DEFINATELY aiming at being there!!!!
MAN!!! That is a SWEET track!!!!
(plus I GOTTA go there and bring my bike home in ONE piece b4 I can move on with my life) ::)
;D
Wussup with you, Smokey??
How's things been going for you??
I hope you can make it.
Life has been ok, work has keept me from racing a lot but I've got a few points here and there through the classes.
It will be fun trip as I'll get to meet some of the mid-west peeps. Hang out with you and SD. I'll be there for the practice day.

Hey Ike, if you need a ride you can always ride with myself and Paul James. We are going to be driving down on Thursday, and driving back after we get done racing on Sunday (driving all night! ).
Ike..i dont wanna see any more supermans...stop by our pits bro
Maybe you should bring me along to load your trailer... :-X

Chris has got a bad case of the "no racing blues". He won't load your trailer, he'll steal your bike, duct tape you to a highway sign, and race the thing 'til it done blowed up. :o ;) ;D

Last time we were at Barber, I blew up my own bike and asked Ike if I could borrow his for my F40 race. Ike was thrilled to help me. I told him I'd just idle it around to get some points, and he said, "Aw HELL no! You gonna go out there an' RACE the thang! That's what it's for, an' I wouldn't be happy if you didn't ride it for all it's worth!" We all know why I didn't get the chance to race Ike's bike... What I did get to do was load his trailer, and that was a pretty damn morbid job.
It took me a good six months to get over the things I saw that day. I was still around and racing, but for awhile my heart wasn't in it.

Chris, that still won't stop you from racing both wheels off of anything that has a motor running. ;)
YOU KNOW that once you throw a leg over "the Berserker" comes alive. :P

You KNOW I'd go with you, bro, if only to have your back. We both have some dragons to slay in Alabama...
I miss you too. Come by some night! We can stare at my dormant collection of GSXRs and drink beer!
AND look at his shiny new Tiberon. 8) Then I guess you'd have to drink more beer. Boo hoo :'(
;) ;D

That would be my shiny new
BROKEN Tiberon! #@%$!@# thing! I got home from work last night, parked, then noticed that the headlights were on. Odd. It was the middle of the day, and I hadn't turned them on myself. Did I bump the switch? After an hour of fooling around and calling the dealer, I finally opened the hood and disconnected the battery. Our first Friday night with the new car. Laura and I were going to do a dinner and movie date. Hey world! Look at us! We have a new car! Instead she spent all night throwing buckets of cold water on me so I wouldn't punch holes in the walls!

Are all these problems EVER going to stop?
Chris...repeat after me: I will breathe deeply (now breathe) I will breathe deeply (breathe again)...
rinse, repeat as necessary. ::) ;D
Your shiny new cage has a 100K warranty, it could be worse. Remember, whatever doesn't kill you will make you stronger. ;)
Apparently, the BODY CONTROL MODULE took a dump. It is responsible for locking and unlocking the doors with the remote (still did that) and shutting off the headlights if you forget. (Instead, IT forgot...) They had it fixed in an hour for free. Now that it's noon, I can start the motorcycle prep I was going to start at seven... Off to Road America for Tuesday and Wednesday as a track coach with STT. That's certianly better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! ;D

Road America, 70*, sunny = lots of :) :) :) :) :) :)
Free track time?? At RA?? Oh yeah, I'm feeling for you, dude. I've got to actually WORK this week. I wish I could take time off from my high falutin' job and my fancy dancy new car to go ride.... :P :P :P ;) ;D
(I know you deserve it, but nothing comes free of harrassment) ;)
Lex, I promise I'll think of you the first time I get the big Gix sideways coming out of the chicane.
It will probably be something like, "$#it! I'd better watch my @$$ or I'll be going to Milwaukee tonight to beg Alexa for emergency leather repair!"
:o :o :o :o
::)
;D

The only down side I can see is that I won't get to hang out and ride with all my CCS pals. Oh well. As tight as things have been for me this year, I have to ride where and when I can.
TRACK COACHI should be wearing a sign that says "Will work for track time"
AND A HUGE THUMBS UP TO MITCH STEIN THE DUNLOP GUY!!!Knowing that I would need rubber for the STT days, Mitch cherry picked his takeoff slicks and hooked me up big time. He played it off by saying that he couldn't sell them to street people, so they were worthless to him anyway. OK, Mitch. I wouldn't want to think you were going out of your way to help me or anything! Thank God for friends...
