Ok, so the most recent points have been posted to the site, but they are MAJORLY wrong. 2 guys I know were not even at the event scored points (and I'm sure there were more). I've talked to about 5-7 racers who all did not get points correctly. I don't know anyone who did, to be honest. Basically, the whole points listing SUCKS and is WAY OFF.
I know this is no surprise to anyone, but come on....we gotta draw the line somewhere. They still don't have SuperTwins listed from May 2nd at Vegas!!!
I've emailed everyone at CCS (Linda, etc) many times about points this season and every time they say they'll take care of it. I know they are overworked and understaffed, but how can CCS / Clearchannel expect to run a race series if they don't at least correctly award points?!?!!
Does anyone have any ideas how we can get this stuff fixed? I've offered NUMEROUS times to help with the scoring/website etc but have gotten zero responses to that.
Starting to thing WERA may be worth the money.

Wera is worth the money if you are planning on going to the GNF, otherwise you are racing against a grid of about 4 for the twins races...
They got the points right by the end of the year last year... I would suggest that you keep good track of YOUR points for the season, then you can reconcile them at the end fo the year.
Wasnt the update more than one event too?
Yea mine are off too in Pacific. My first weekend, 6/06 I raced in 4 events but was only shown points in two, I e-mailed them. Now my second weekend, 7/11 I raced the same 4 events on and am now shown points in only 3 events and the totals are off on one. But still nothing in F40 yet. I figured out what it all should be per the rule book and will be e-mailing them again. Not that it really matters since I am really quite slow :-[

I am doing that, but what sucks is they are giving free points to people who didn't earn them. So, if I don't keep track of the guys I'm racing against, they could end up with extra points. I shouldn't have to do this.
Also, if they don't post results at all (e.g. SuperTwins from Vegas May 2), then I can't accurately compare points for anyone else to see where we all stand.
Sometimes I think it's lame to think about points in the amateur classes, but then again, I pay a lot of money to get out there each month. I'd expect the points system to be somewhat accurate.
Guys, take a deep breath and relax. The website updates are only as good as the low paid data entry person who works at Clear Channel Entertainment 'somewhere' else other than in the CCS Office in Texas. They probably can't even spell CCS so, unfortunately, don't take the website as the gospel. During the last 6 months of the year, the Registration trailer/desk has a 3-ring binder with the points for every class, Track Championship and Overall points that are updated from the last race. Next time you are at the races, ask for the binder and I'm sure they will have it. That is the gospel so if you have an issue at that time, ask an Official what your options are in getting it straightened out. From my experience, you can track your points and everybody else throughout the season and they won't necessarily agree but your final position/Championship will end up the way it is supposed to. I'm not saying there aren't mistakes made but check the binder first.
David is right. (That is you David, right?) The web person for the CCS page is in another state, far away from Kevin and the gang. Kevin would love to have his own web person, or at least one that he can talk to! The book is at all races, is usally correct and if it is not, just politley let the beautiful ladies at registration know.
Corey can I get your e-mail, going to be at Buttonwillow?
You think you have problems? I was leading my FAT son (Steven Hymer) in Thunderbike before the Buttonwillow race, then I ruled his ass, and now HE is ahead of me!! :o Now I have to listen to him brag until Las Vegas!! JEEZ!! >:(
Tristan- my email is cstem@cox.net- drop in anytime. Most likely not going to B-willow but if I do I will let you know- You can call me to at 623-521-2461. I have a ? for you.
Corey, yes, AppleRacing is me, David Appellof. I'll be back racing with CCS at the Las Vegas round in Sept. My son graduated from High School in May so I had to make sure everything was taken care of with him starting college this fall. As a result,I was not able to race in the first half of this year. I'll be in Vegas just to kick Ray Hymer's butt in LW F40!
I will be seeing both of you in October F-40 is going to be fun.
Hey, David, you're going to Vegas just to kick my butt? I feel honored. We'll see about the LW Formula 40 race in Vegas. I should have my 89 GSXR750 ready by then. ;D In October, at Firebird, I'll be sure to wave at you and Wayne when I go by you guys on the SV650's at like 190 mph or so!! ;)
Oh, yeah, David, where's the hot chick that you owe me?
Ray, I can get you that hot chick I owe you off of Van Buren. You can rent one by the hour or get one that will come with lifetime payments. Take your pick. It looks like Wayne and I will have to battle it out for 2nd place in October since we will be on the big track with a half mile straight. I'm already at a disadvantage since both of you guys have new SV's and now I hear about an ancient GSXR 750. Sometimes life doesn't seem fair
Half mile straights are nice when you have 30 more HP than the other guys!! ;D
Better look out I am at my fighting weight again. I am 140 lbs baby with 74 ponies at the rear wheel on a super sport bike.
Brake deep brake hard.
I remember weighing 140 lbs for a about a week in the 8th grade. With the horsepower-to-weight ratio, it looks like the best I could hope for is 3rd place. My motto is more like, "Brake early and often!"
I think I was born over 140 pounds. ::) My last weigh in was at a trim 275! :o It should be a great LW F-40 race in Vegas. Fukiage, Shepp, Stewart, Nielson (if he's brave enough to go!), Appellof, and of course the legendary Hymer.
Hey Wayne, perhaps we could give Ray a couple of buffet tickets to 'help' his horsepower-to-weight ratio!
You should see the faces of the Casino Buffet employees when Steven and I walk in!! :o
Sometimes we just eat at the buffet line itself. Saves trips, you know! :P
Steven and I are considering running the Team challenge. If we had Eric Pelley on our team, that would make the total weight at around 900 pounds, counting leathers! ;D That should be some sort of record!
you go now, you be here four hour..... :o
