is it really twin sprints and double points?I'm planning on heading down what is the place like?I've seen the web site ,but really whats it like? food, showers, camping, bad or good places to pit at?
it's all good, camping ,power and showers...it's a twin sprint weekend so you get single points per class but you races each class twice
The "facilities" aren't that great. You can still get a shower and take a dump...but I would say it's maybe a small notch above Talladega. LOL As far as pit, it's all good. I like to pit back against the fence and get under the trees. In that GA heat...you'll need all the shade you can get. :(
for shade we just drag hooter31 and his 100 ft trailer with awning and enclosed AC LOL
scott,i got the 1000 motor back togeather last night will be putting it in today :P
how's the food and stuff? big selection? Ice?

DAAAMNIT..PRAY FOR RAIN PRAY FOR RAIN LOL
the foods not too bad , but great stuff uptown. they have ice, at the track, with power and showers. All in all you'll have a great time, just don't piss off the track manager, only 1 person on a pit bike, if you have a pet keep it on a leash, no beer during ANY races, and don't fly thru the pits, and don't basically be around him. Other than that you'll be ok.
And Hooter31 You'll need that motor to beat me and Quick toy , and Trey also.Ha Ha Ha

Hey Big Boy go drive that truck & deliver some freight. When it tears up again I'll make some parts for it.G$
thanks for the info...this'll be our 1st time at RR
any tips/tricks for the track?
porky, do i know u bro?
Rick doesn tneed any motor, i barely beat him last time, cause i jammed him and my temamate last lap in the infield then just was able to get a better drive onto the front straight for the win (well actually 5th place..LOL)
Looks like rain this weekend all weekend, just checked the weather..hopefully its full wet and not intermediate crap like it was last time
Sawyer #89 I ride the gsxr 1000 and the pucati's I mean the ducati's and my wife rides the 125. We should be there thursday afternoon. And I know what you mean about hooter31 I just like annoying the crap out of him, know what I mean?
Oh ok, man, i know exactly who you are, how ya doin?
Ya, dont bring your exploders, i mean ducatis LOL
Ricks good shit, just real slow, i dont know why, he has soo much talent and just dogs it out there ;-)
hehe i love ya rick
;DWell hopefully my pucatis ok for now. The one ferracci built is doing great. But the main 998 is still under the knife, no-one wants to take resposiblilty, the rod broke at the top, carillo says its not there's and bcm says its not there's, but thats the first weekend I got to ride it, but so be it. Maybe dragonslayer can make me a scooter that will hold up. You coming down dragonslayer?
Anyway as far as pointers, don't let turn 1 intimidate you, you can go deep, let it roll thru then power out of two, turn three is pretty quick, downshift once into 4 then power out again, then roll quickly thru 5 and down into 6-7 ans shoot out of 8 into 9 roll off a little into 9 then back on the gas. IF IT RAINS, STAY OFF ALL SEALER,AND NO MATTER WHAT GO TO THE OUTSIDE OF TURN 5,, DO NOT DO NOT GO TO THE INSIDE OF 5 IN THE RAIN, YOU WILL SEE HOW YOUR BIKE RIDES ON THE SIDE. Other than that have a great time. If you need any help look us up we're usually in 5 trying to have a good time, see ya there.
What are decent lap times at RR. I have not been there in a few years and I think I was doing 1:25s.
But, they have since bumped me into expert. Am I going to get lapped at 1:25s?
thanks
really depends on the track, Trey Yonce one of the fastest does low 15's, but and average expert time is mid 16's on a good weekend. On friday I expect most experts to be in the mid low 18's or so. But you'll do fine it will come back to you quickly. Good Luck!
I remember seeing Trey hit high 14's! That dude is smokin' fast!!!!
But yeah, to run in the front pack as Ex you've gotta be in the 16's. Front pack Am is 18's.
A guy by the name of Keith was down at my house yesterday for a few hours and he runs low 13s at roebling and may come for our CCS trackday on friday to test his new "TOY" which he wants to set the track record with the following weekend in the formula 1 race.
230 HP turboed GSXR 1000 :o :o :o
Real cool guy, I hope he rolls up there

I don't think I'll be hitting 18's my 1st time on this track unless it just flows good...I'm thinking more like 21's or 22's and that is a maybe...
That'll be a sight to see Quicktoy!!!! Damn, I can imagine making it into the 15's. But geez...13's?!?! I guess with a nice powerful bike you could gain some ground down the straight. Still...13's...damn.
