Title: Racing and bringing friends and family
Post by: grasshopper on July 15, 2004, 01:07:46 PM
I'm looking for some advice about bringing friends and family to CCS events. I have about 10 or more people (Family and Friends) coming to watch the races this weekend at BHF. Is it practical for everyone to be where I pit at. I mean I'm going to be racing and concentrating on that and I'm not going to have the time to cator to everyone and give them my full undevided attention. I'm not the best host. What do you guys recommend I do when having all these people coming to watch.  ??? I guess I'm a little overwhelmed.

It's really cool that you've got people coming out to support you.  :D You can always put them to work doing stuff around your pit.  ;)

Either that, or just say to them, listen, racing is high adrelaine, so forgive me if I'm not myself, and feel free to wander around and have a good time. They'll understand, believe me.

My family has been great about coming to the races.  I usually just apologize later for being a jerk and they undertand.  They know I have other things on my mind than playing host.   ;D

I'm going to try and pit away from where all the main action is so Everyone can hang out its not all crowded. Thanks for the advice Syder Chic. It looks like we're going to have fair weather this weekend. Are you going to out there this weekend?

I hear ya.  My wife is from Waukesha.  I have like 15-20 people from her side coming to watch!  :o

Most of them have never been to a motorcycle race.  I was kind of wondering the same thing about how to handle them.  I do have two pit bikes they can all check out to keep them a little occupied. ;)

Hey Grasshopper....

Was that you hopping in the weeds in turn seven?

LOL!!!!

Paul said that the cornerworker that was helping you out was WAY back there.  I'm glad to see that you were able to rejoin the race.

Dawn   :)
