Aaron Stevenson (Cornerspeed Race School) will host the event & run the race school that day.  Go to www.cornerspeed.net for info, look under "schedule" for info.
But.....
You will need to register for the Thursday, Aug. 12  race practice through Barber Motoersports (Bruno Event Team).  Go to www.barbermotorsports.com to download the form, look under "events calender" for the Aug. 12 registration form.  You'll need to download it, print it, fill it in & fax it back to confirm your spot. (Fax #: 205-967-9940.)
Price is $130.  Rider meeting @ 0720 (7:20 am) the morning of the 12th.  Track goes hot at 0800.  Gates open Wed. night, August 11, @ 1900 (7pm).
You can contact Heather Hinton from the Bruno Event Team for more info, 205-967-4745, ext. 156.

Scott, the registration form says"This practice will accommodate a LIMITED number of riders so early registration is imperative."  I would pre-reg.  It would suck to drive all that way and not be able to ride.

You should not wait.
The cornerspeed website was declaring only 12 slots left as of July 12.  Last year the practice day was packed.  (And that was only a three region event....This year is a four region event, plus F-USA.)

I just got confirmation that both Mike and I's registration was accepted for the BRUNO EVENT TEAM OPEN PRACTICE.  CORNER SPEED is hosting a SCHOOL not a track day.  there where only 12 spots left for the school.  There where roughly 100 spots available for the Track day.  Walk ins are also accepted.  This information came from Heather at Bruno.  ;)

Will they only accept a certain number of riders for a given race then shut off entries to it?

If I wait until I get down there to register, will I possibly not be able to enter a race?

I don't have the time/money to practice on the track, so I would want to start from the back of the grid, but I also want to make sure I can at least enter the race.

Will they only accept a certain number of riders for a given race then shut off entries to it? yes and if it is a combined race it is not 50%ex 50% am it is preset track limit for the race total (ie race limit of 50; I don't know what Barber's limit is; it could be 40 am and 10 experts and the whole race is closed, no more entries)

If I wait until I get down there to register, will I possibly not be able to enter a race?yes

I don't have the time/money to practice on the track, so I would want to start from the back of the grid, but I also want to make sure I can at least enter the race. you can always start from the back of the grid just let a grid marshall know so you are no penalized for a a starting line infraction
