Sunny, you still don't get it. The problem you have is that after attending a miniscule number of race events in your life you have jumped to the conclusion that you know everything there is to know about running a race and making racers happy. You do not and based on a lot of your posts across the internet you never will because you refuse to look past your jumped to conclusions.
Based on what our customers felt after VIR we did indeed score a 10 of 10 - and they'll keep coming back, you know like they told you they would after you started running your mouth. And that is the ONLY method of determining how good a job we did. As soon as you run a race of that magnitude and keep your customers happy you can form an opinion, until then you don't have the experience or knowledge necessary to do so, at least not an opinion with any merit.
What you did (and amazingly continue to do even on a board that has nothing to do with WERA, me or VIR) is as stupid as me wandering in to Ford and telling them how to design a new truck. The difference is I know it would be stupid to do so....

The last time I checked, this is a country of free speech. I am a customer of yours and I have my view/opinion about the service I received based on what I experienced. Is that not aloowed or wrong? ??? All of your customers have opinions of the service they received including those who said you/WERA scored 10 out of 10. Just because I don't have enough racing experience, doesn't mean that I couldn't tell the difference between a well-plan/run event from a bad one. According to your analogy, maybe you should never even mention how a truck should be built as I am the engineer, not you............ However, I know better. Everyone have different background, experience, natural talent and learning curve. Otherwise, why can't a old guy like Alex Barros beat Rossi?????? ;)
In your words and plenty of your supporters', WERA is better than basically all other race organizations and hence why others had gone out of business or heading down that path. I don't disagree with that. However, this doesn't mean that you are perfect and can't do no wrong nor should this stop you from being better! It only tells you that you are doing something right when compared to others (or simply had some kind of advantage). Comparison to other crappy organizations is just a relative thing like I am faster than DAN, but that doesn't mean I am faster than everyone else. I know that there is always improvement to be made (even for Rossi)! ;)
Oh, don't keep telling me that I didn't get it, nor won't look pass anything before I jump to a conclusion. Before you want to accuse me, look at yourself and what most of your fan club in that particular "VIR" thread had done first. You are definitely not an open minded guy as you claimed. At least not from what I see. But then again, who am I to judge? ??? :P ;)
By the way, the reason you stated about why you have banned me didn't prevent you from banning many since (or plenty should we say).............. ::) Would you like to explain that? ??? Forget it, I am not here to put you nor anyone in the hot seat like you and your fan club like to do in the "hunting" game. ;)
Anyway, I really hope/wish that you (and WERA) are as good as you claimed and keep improving yourself as there is no such thing as "too good" if you know what I mean. ;) I truly only wanted to help until someone else wants to "play" with me (don't tell me I started it). ::) Well, playing with DAN is different because we knew each others and been poking back and forth the same way since day 1 (but I don't hunt him like an animal like WERA do). ;D In general, I believe I have been good and provided many helpful information to many while I was active in WERA BBS and other BBS which I received many "thank you" notes in PM form. Anyway, I admit I have very low E.Q. and can't keep myself cooled when provoked in any way (yes, anyone can bait me easily), but hey, I am no Saint, nor have I ever claimed to be. :-[ :P
Last, I truly wish the best for everyone including you, and will offer a helping hand when I could when asked or not (DAN hates it when he didn't ask me for it, but I just can't help it especially when his B.S> gets too big.........). ;) I know you and many are still reading everything I said totally differently than I would like. :-/ I really suck at expressin myself the right way although you probably don't believe me, but my friends can tell you that. Or if you care to spend some time to keep to know me for yourself. ::) Then again, I doubt you care. ;D I can't change you nor anyone, but trying to improve myself. ;) I will concentrate on racing and hopefully earn some credits through winning as many suggested (I looks to be competitive in my class ;D). Other than that, I'll only post if I have helpful information/facts to share. Well, except "playing" with DAN will stay the same way though! ;D
By the way, I didn't meant in any bad way when mentioning about WERA in the other post that you said is now locked. I only posted for people to see that a simple discussion/misunderstanding an/or sharing personal opinion could easily gone the wrong in a big way with the "bandwagon effect" involved. :'( I really doubt that you'll dislike me so much if I actually talk to you in person about what I experienced in VIR. ::) ;D Of course, never been known to be associated nor defending DAN would have helped greatly too........ ::) :P I am truly a very reasonable and humble person although I always sound very confident about what I said! ;)

Sunny, I"m actually going to stand behind WERA on this one. Why? Because I worked at one of if not the biggest event they have. IMHO, the WERA staff did the absolute best, and I was there to witness it first hand. For as big as a circus as that event was, it went very smooth. Now, I'm not saying I agree with everything WERA does, and I'm not saying that they are better than any other race org. I'm just saying that you need to just STFU for a little while, ride the damn bike, and if you don't like it, start your own org., or quit. Quit being such a pain in the ass. You complain more than my wife. You complain more than anyone I know. Run for president or something if you wanna change the world. But in the mean time..

Actually, I rather enjoy some of Mongo's stuff. He's a bit agressive and combative for my tastes, (I personally TRY to be polite most of the time... ::)) but he IS good at expressing his opinions in writing. Gotta respect talent, even if you don't agree with it sometimes...

I really have no problem with on topic discussion, heated or no, that those such as Mongo usually proffer. In fact such discussion is healthy and usually brings forth information or opinions that may not have come out otherwise. I just dislike the pathetic drivel that has permeated the board of late. It actually makes me less inclined to visit when I have to wade through this type of BS all the time.

Between the two of them, there's about 3 races worth of experience. Counting first-lap crashing as a completed race.
But according to their brochures, they've both turned down Honda MotoGP offers.

I'm working on the LP fuel nozzle. Dave has one for me. I sent him an email and waiting on response. I doubt it will fit the Mille without a little fabrication to the gas tank. To give you an idea, the fuel opening on the Mille is maybe a few CM bigger than a standard gas pump (gas station) nozzle, so fueling is a pain in the ass. It's hard not to spill fuel when refueling, especially with a full gas can. I carried extra rags last year because of it on my other Mille (03' R) and Aprilia didn't change it. So, I'm gonna figure it out once the nozzle gets here. I think I'll be able to cut enough away to get a good fuel opening.
I also want to change the plates of the slipper clutch if I get time, but I'm waiting on a call back on that, and my mechanic is going to set up the suspension and geometry this week. I don't play with settings. He's never done me wrong, so he's the man as far as I'm concerned.
and I gotta get new toe sliders for my boots. Almost forgot. :o

Yeah, I'll have to take the cap off the bike completely, and cut the hole bigger. The tank is composite, so a jig saw or something will cut right thru. The tank on the 04' is completely different from the 03', but the 00-03' are the same thing. Both the new generation and the old one have the same size opening. The cap isnt the problem, its the opening on the tank.
We'll have a fire extingusher on hand too
