Infinity GP Racing, a USGPRU series sponsor has acquired 10 NEW 2004 RS125s for the purpose of rental by licensed racers who want to see what "Real" racing is like. :)
We will provide bike, fuel, and tuning at the track. All the rider needs to do is show up and saddle up!
Specs:
223 lbs, 31bhp @ rear wheel. They're not as fast as the Hondas and Yamahas, but still a lot of fun.
Rental prices are:
$500 for the 125/250 races (including Friday pratice sessions as we have them)
additional race entries are $100 per race.
$1000 deposit required for crash damage.(hopefully no one crashes, but we have to cover our ass just in case.)
They won't be at VIR but will be ready for Barber.
Frank (Infinity GP Racing) can be reached at 866-881-9188
Very cool. 8) Pay to play. Never thought I'd see it with bikes. :D
does the price include the race entry as well? do we need a UPGPRU license to enter the races? I am thinking about getting a 125 to play on... this would be perfect if it is on a weekend with friday practice!
What about mechanical failures? if the bike breaks do I get a replacement? if there isn't one availabe do I get refund?
You have my attention

Aprilia offers race prepped RS125's ??? Like the RS250 ??? or are these RS125's that were in street clothes changed into race clothes ??? I pay very close attention to the Euro bikes, and I have honestly never seen an RS125 in race clothes out of the box.
???
Regardless, I'm in ;D I'd like to see what it's like to ride a bike with no engine braking :o 8)
TRUST ME! Those aint NO street bikes!!! :o ;D
A litte heavier than my YSR and 5X the HP!!! WOW!
Not to mention for THAT price... SWEET!!
Sounds heavy. How much does a TZ 125 weigh.
I have a 95 TZ 125, weighs in at 160lb.
I use MR8, i get 40-42hp.
Would definetly be interested in at least taking a look at them...even watch someone ride one...or, better idea, see if someone else would like to share the rental with me...
Are they legal for F40? If so, I'm interested in a fly-in to Barber and perhaps Roebling.
This would be awesome, but I think I'd burn the clutch out getting it to move with my fat @ss on it!
Someday I really wanna take a "real" GP bike out for a couple laps...

I don't know if it includes the entry fee, and no you don't have to have a usgpru license. That's the point of this. :) to get some of yous to try out a 125 race w/o having one.
My guess would be that if there was a mech. fail. assuming you didn't do it, and if he has one that's not rented, they'd let you use it? You really need to call Frank though to get the answers to all these questions.

Yes, actually, it's legal for Lightweight F40.
