Title: 2002 Licenses Questions
Post by: Papa_Thiam on January 06, 2002, 11:45:07 AM
If I decide in July that I'm going fast enough to attempt to qualify for a FUSA Sportbike race, will there be an upgrade available for purchase, or do I need to have an NRRS license from the start of the season? I sent my money in for a CCS Expert license as required after being an Amateur in 2001, but if I can make the field once (Summit or VIR), I wouldn't mind trying. What's the deal?

Secondly, if I sit out this season and decide to get a Superbike license next year, it seems the rules allow me to do that. Does anyone see a flaw/loophole in there?

I don't understand the question. In case you're referring to me racing CCS, I have a lot more race time with CCs than with WERA.

Papa...you should be fine.  Just make sure you're bike is running well and are up to speed on the track.  I doubt that you will have trouble qualifying for a race.

Well it is a $50 upgrade now but I think it a discount at beginning of season and later, or at least last year, it is/was more.

Well you can't really sit out a year and have a year of expert experience now can you?  ::) :P
