As a results of my crash, I met, but forgot the name of the cornerworker in T8-9 that crossed the track to help me.
Anyone..?
Mike, that was me. ;D You dumped it in 8 and visited that wonderful mud puddle, right? We also talked about your video equipment and hoped that it caught your crash. 8)
You doing well? Any effects from that crash still lingering?
Hope the damage to the bike wasn't too bad.
Yea, that was me... I got the whole thing on video.. it's pretty sweet. It recorded everything and you even see me sliding across the screen.
I'll post it up in a day or so when I get around to making the clip.
Yea everything's ok, but my left rib(s) are sore or bruised, hoping it goes away soon and it's not something other than that.
The bike was OK, got it together in time for the USGPRU race, however the F*N track dried and I had rains and no time to switch.. so I got screwed there. Went out on the warmup lap with rains, saw the dry track, pulled in, never started the race.
Take care of yourself and heal quick. Someone told me Margarita's are good for helping to relieve soreness. ;D
Yeah, the weather was super-crazy on Monday. I think quite a few people were caught with rains on when they should've ran slicks, but who knew the the sun was gonna come out and that the weather would turn out the way it did.
You planning on doing VIR in a couple weeks? I'm really, really, really tempted to go down. I have a wedding that I'm suppose to attend that same weekend. Anh.....wedding, schmedding. ;)
Let me know when you get the video up.
Yup.. I'll be at VIR, then Roebling, Barber, and back to VIR to finish the season.
I've put 3 videos from Suckit Point up on my new site --> http://onboardvideos.com/
This is going to be the new home of all my videos I record from the races.
The first race, 125GP is a little jittery, b/c I didn't realize how bumpy SP was, so my suspension was setup wayyyy too stiff. I gradually softened it up with advise from some of the SP 'regulars'.
Enjoy.
EDIT: ribs are starting to feel better now. Hopefully they should be all ok in about another week.
awesome video mike!!!
I don't know who I should feel worse for...you or that cicada ;D
I'll be using your VIR video to learn the track...going down there later this month for the first time. thanks for posting them.
Bret

Glad to see you were not hurt....Keep posting any videos you get. It is great to see the perpspective of racing again. Reminds me of how much I miss being on the track!!!!!!!
Mike, good to hear the ribs are getting better. :)
Thanks for sharing your vids....it's always cool to see the racing action from a racer's standpoint.
See you @ VIR.
Man I knew not to line up behind a 125, but you guys got it ROUGH getting going. When you go by on the lap that counts, look for my salute, you earned it. Nice vid, Thanks
