Title: AMA Road America event
Post by: GSXR RACER MIKE on May 12, 2004, 07:39:42 PM
So how many people are going to the fast approaching double header AMA event at Road America? Are you going as a spectator or are you going to participate in the races? What days are you going to be there?

Since none of the Midwest regions have an event that weekend I may go spectate 1 of the days, and watch the other day on TV. A large group of people from Rockford is going for the entire event and asked me to show up for at least 1 of the days, so I think that's the plan as of now.  :)

Roger and I ought to be there. If anyone is interested in corner working, I know they can always use the help. Our Midwest Safety crew has had the honors in the past. Contact Bill Ritger at ritger@execpc.com for information.

I'll be there cornerworking saturday and sunday, and possibly friday.  As a note I believe Cornerworkers get a free spectator pass too.

Might not go to race.

Purely a $$ issue.

I have Summit Point the weekend before, Loudon, VIR, and maybe MAM after.  I need more resources, and I can't come up with them.  I am putting focus into the FUSA series, so if I'm going to drop one...

The license and entry would be about $500 before I even touch the track.

I've got a big suspension and tire seminar that I'm supposed to put on the weekend after.  Doing that should help me pay for the next couple events after RA.

Might go to RA to work in a hospitality set up for my dealership and to sell some of my shirts to support pediatric cancer research....

Or someone might buy me as a consultant for the weekend...

Have to wait and see.

We'll be there spectating.  Have to leave early, though, as my younger sister graduates from high school Sunday.  She'd rather be at RA, too!  If anyone needs a hand, let us know.

QuoteSuspension seminar, Dave?

Yeah, I believe the Wisconsin Area Ducati Enthusiaists are working with my friends at Corse Superbikes on this.  It isn't going to be cheap, but it will help the MACC Fund, Me, and hopefully the people that buy into it.

Is it just me or is this racing thing getting expensive?

It was expensive before you ever showed up.

You are quite the expert on ducati suspension, aren't you? :D :D :D :D ;)        Anyway, what was that fuel you sold me last year,   meee likeeeee

Ummm, fuel...

Power Mist Racing Fuel...

Certainly one of the "TO" fuels.

But I don't remember.  Might have been TO137 or TO101.

I'm a Power Mist user now.  I'm not selling it anymore.  Took too much effort away from racing, so I decided to do what I need to do for my pediatric cancer racing program.

So, the only way to get it would be directly from Power Mist in New Jersey.  They ship world wide.  973-383-1061

The Wegman Fund will be there. Scrounging goodies for the auction and such.

We are staying in the paddock all weekend. Look for the sign on our new trailer, stop and see us! :) :)
