Title: SV Jetting?
Post by: EM JAY on April 27, 2004, 11:29:11 AM
What can you guys tell me?  I have no recomednations on the pipe I'm using (GPR) and found that I was running way lean at RA.  Carbs have been untouched, jetting original, etc.  PM me if you don't want to reveal any secrets!   ;D   Where should I start?

Full system?

I put on a slip on and went up 1 jet to a 140, and 2 shims on the needle. That was OK. Maybe a bit rich.

Changing the pilot, many found, wasn't really necessary. I didnt change mine. But, YMMV

140 mains, 2 shims, just like stated above.

Throw her on the Dyno and see where you're at. Brian at Valley racing doesn't charge too much for a quick run to see which way you need to go.

Check out Ivan Performance Products.  He claims to make big hp with better needle tapering amongst othe things.  It made a difference (totally smooth hp curve) on my R6.
