Hey Dude
Are you venturing East to Summit this weekend?  ::)

***%*$**#(($!!!

I think that's how I sounded...LOL! :o

No, I've got a school on the 6th and the 10th at Blackhawk, career day at the local elementary school, and racing at Blackhawk.  Got to find some money for a new generator (AHHHHHHHH!) and I'll need to fix some things for Summit on Memorial day.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I don't get angry very often...

And that felt really, really good....

LOL....It was my pleasure to listen :o. I have some donations for you if you are going to Summit at the end of May we will get them to you then. Thanks for being such a great sport!! I am glad we found you a transponder and all worked well. The waves you gave us on the starts helped - we needed that we were getting a little discouraged (like everyone else) but at least you said your peace and got it over with ( and did not flip us of like some of the others - that I will not mention) I enjoyed meeting you!!! Take care and see you soon.  :D

LOL, waves on the start...

Yeah, sometimes, some people...

Well, they can take it a little too seriously at the wrong times...and not see the humor at others.  Glad I could lighten it up a bit...

I'll have shirts and all at Summit.

Dafan...I'll be there.  Things should be better.  Got to get a new generator (not sure how I'm going to afford that one, but I have to have tire warmers or I'll be buying bodywork and bikes that I can't afford either...LOL!)

summit has electricity, plenty of it. so you don't really need a generator, just buy electricity. Plenty

thats why none of us MA folks (well most) dont have generators, our tracks have electricity

We have electricty at Heartland Park, Blackhawk, Road America, Gateway...

But if a breaker pops...

You're always out of luck.

A generator for me is always reliable...until you let someone borrow a bit of juice from you and it gets overloaded and blows all the insulation off the generator windings...

Just don't kick a tool-box.  My toe is still killing me...

And I'm sure your local sponsor can help you on the generator, but if not, give me a call and I can hook you up with the folks at LCPS.  A nice new Honda EU3000 is just the ticket...

My guys at Sportsman's Park

http://www.sportsmanspark.net

Might just have a used EF6600 generator for me.

3k just seems wimpy.  My former one was a 2.5k.

Quote6600!!! That thing weighs 200 lbs! 74 db at 23 feet.  :-/

Other considerations are: alot more fuel consumption, alot more heat generated, larger size can take up valuable floor space in the trailer, and it's a good idea to have electric start. It's also nice if it has 12 volt power output too, which most electric start models will have.

Mine is a 4500 watt with a 6600 watt surge capacity, which was one of the highest ratios I found when comparing run wattage to surge wattage. This is important if your going to use an air compressor or air conditioner. I found that once you got around the 5000 watt range (run wattage) there is a significant drop in hours of run time per gallon of fuel. I would imagine that your looking to do this as economically as possible so fuel consumption over the season will be an issue. I also read in the instructions that you should use the low octane fuel, and not premium, because the engine will get too hot.

Other considerations are overhead valves, automatic idle down, low oil pressure shut off, and screw on automotive style oil filter. Also make sure and find out if the electricity being output is safe for tv's, computers, microwaves ,etc. :)
