Title: Power at RA
Post by: MadXX on April 20, 2004, 08:18:17 AM
Is there available power at road america? I have this nice set of warmers I would like to try out on Saturday but no generator yet and I was wondering if it would be worth my time to bring them.

Thanks in advance

Yes there is power available in the paved areas of the paddock.  I don't remember how much it costs tho.

Power last year was $20.00 for the weekend.

And if you use too much...it pops the breaker.

Always have a generator back up for warmers...sucks when you though your tires were on the warmers for 25 minutes only to find that they've been sitting cold for about 20.

thanks for the info.  I was waiting to buy a nicer generator so I can plug electronics into it without worrying about spikes.  Unfortunately Uncle Sam ate my generator $$ this month.  :'(

Generator or not, local power or not, BRING your warmers!

My first year, I had warmers but no generator.  All you need to do is leach power in trade for gassing up the genset.

You put gas in my generator for the weekend and you can leach power from me...

I'm planning to get a generator sometime this year but don't have it yet.  I sure hope I can buy or leach!   8)

I guess that settles it then.  I'll bring the warmers, extra gas, and a 100' drop cord.  8)

On the subject of generators.  I scored a Honda 3500 watt unit today .... free!

Yeah it needs the generator rewound but I also have a connection to do that .....free!

Life is good when the connections are great.  ;D

Or some Vicodin for the foot, instead of gas?  ;)

I think I have some Vicodins from some oral surgery laying around.  ;)

My Mom had surgery last week, and has some extra percosets, too!  ;D

Let me know if you need any. I'll charge you less than street value!  ;D ;)  J/K!

Bring the vikes, I'll keep your tires warm all weekend while they keep me warm all weekend  ;D

I don't understand the big deal with Vicodin. For me, the stuff is worthless. Doesn't get rid of any pain, doesn't do anything. I would rather take tylenol 3.

See, I'm the opposite...  Codene does nothing for me.  Vicodin or Percocet are preferred.  Doesn't kill the pain so much as it assists with me ignoring/tolerating it.
