Me and Jen are debating about this topic.

how about a choice for

"I have no freakin idea"

and one for

"I don't leave voicemails"

I would probably choose both those :D

Nope. Ususally use...

"Farewell, Farwell til we meet again. Peace be with you and may the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house." :o ;D

Seriously, I'll usually leave a detailed message to the tune of;
"this is Alexa from Spyder Leatherworks @ 414.327.0967 (insert message here) Take  it easy" or some form of end salutation, some times even "bye".

Interesting.

When I leave a message, I tend to say bye only for some personal calls. For business, and business aquantances, I don't say bye. Jen seems to think this isn't the norm, and that most people say "bye.

For business, since I am usually requesting something, so I say 'Thank you'

Personal calls...  I leave a message expecting a call back so it's something like, 'see ya soon'  Very rarely to I say 'bye.'

Usually it's "Where the hell are you? You were supposed to be home an hour ago!  Oh, nevermind, you're in the garage.  BYE."

Well, though I have plenty of business calls, I'm not a "salesman".  So I'm always in a personal mood when talking to clients.  I usually say "talk to you later" or something like "see ya".  Bye just sounds too stuffy.  :p  "BUH BYE"

Business calls end in "thank you".  Personal usually end in "later".

There's some really strange topics around here  ::)

OK since were here, it always makes me want to smack the person calling when they say "it's me".  I never understood the logic behind saying it, even more now-adays when we have caller ID...

Maybe is "just me"...

I've gotta agree with you Don. People call me up and just start talking to me. Cool, I'm their friend and all, but considering the volume of calls I get some days, please please identify yourself. Sometime I don't check my caller ID or they're calling from work, so that's not always the solution.

I agree with that too.  Some people at work have caller ID but I don't.  Another thing that drives me crazy is when someone will leave a message that only gives their number to call back.  If you tell me what you want, I can have the answer for you when I call back.  Otherwise, we may waste another call or more time...   ::)
