April better get here soon or else I'll have nothing left to drive!
All week long I was looking forward to taking the 'bagger in, picking up the V-Rod and FINALLY getting to RIDE. Woke up all happy and excited, then looked out the window. Grey foggy drizzle. ARRRGH! Fine... I'll just go in to work for a few hours and get some things done.
Well, I jumped into the Little White Car and took off... there's a sweet set of turns leading from my house to the highway... banked, hard right-hander followed by a nice open, sweeping left. Absolutely delicious. Always a nice way to start the day... and the LWC can RAIL through there. Well, this morning I set up and turned in like I always do... and promptly exceeded the combined traction limits of cold, wet asphalt and dinkly little old tires. Felt the back tires breaking loose... catching... breaking loose again... then had a nasty fishtail... overcorrected and did a 360 over the banking, through the ditch (still spinning) and onto the other ramp (offramp). WHEEE!!!! Ended up straddling the other ramp crosswise. Fired her up, nailed the gas, plowed down and up through the ditch and back on my merry way before anybody else noticed me.
All I could think was, "Wow... that was COOL!"
Yes, the disease has totally permeated my brain. Is it April yet???
OK.... first let me say.... I'm glad your OK!!!!
Second - Oh my was that funny!!!!
Dawn ;D
Kim, Kim Kim.....
How come you didnt drive like that at BHF's last year during tire day? ;D
You really need to paint the LWC to look like the TLR complete with number plates.:D:D
isn't that the best!!!
I love "getting away" with that stuff.
Hell yeah! Been there, wrecked that. Just remember that there's no spin and continue in motorcycle racing! :o
Kim, did that in my little ol' '80 Rx7 with my sister in it. ;D
Off ramp by my house has a neat little twisty. Took at 60 MPH like always, didn't account for the weight of the see-stair in the passenger seat. :o
Neatly turned the thing 360 and then some, facing the on ramp. I was ok, she was ok, car was ok, laughed like a maniac and got back on the freeway. :o ;) :D ;D
Disease...h&ll no! Addiction...hmmmmm, yeah.
