IMO gearing depends on your lap times.
I ran 15/48 at VIR and Summit. I would run 15/49 at summit if I ever race there again. (plan to stay SE region) This gearing for VIR will be good from 1:35-139's IMO. I ran 35-36's last time there. I didn't redline on the straight, and it gave me good drive out of 1, 4, and 14 in 3rd gear, and decent drive out of 7 (hard to get on the gas early exiting 7...)

at summit (15/48) 2nd was too high in the carousel  and 3rd wasn't enough. one more tooth on the rear probably would have fixed that. It was my first time there... trying to get used to the track. I ran consistent 1:20's. 1:17's-19s you'll probably need another set up...

hope that helps. see ya there.  ;D

16/49 at VIR and 15/49 at summit is what I used but I feel a 15/47 or 15/48 works at VIR as well. Depend on how fast and where your shift points are. I am debating between a 16 front or a 15 for VIR. I will switch and try it differently in 2 weeks.

15/48 may be the right set up for summit. I don't think 49 would work if you are going 18's, you will redline before the brake markers. So maybe I can run 15/48 at both tracks.

But someone said 15 front will make the chain grind on the guards. So maybe stick with 16 front.
