Hey Everyone!
I just gotta tell you about this new sponsorship deal we got. This is totally cool and we will be able to offer something at our track days that no one else has.
Ever thought about getting a slipper clucth on your bike? Would you like to be able to try one out before obligating yourself to such an expensive purchase?
We just closed a sponsorship deal with STM. You have seen their ads in Roadracing World for their slipper clutches. Now available at our track days, we will install one of these clutches on your bike and let you try it out. This is for serious inquiries only and a small labor fee will apply. If you don't like the clutch, we will remove it and you are not obligated to buy it.
They will be installed by the guys at Lithium Motorsports, who do all our trackside support and service. We have them available for the GSXR-1000, 750, and 600. Also the R6, and Honda 600RR.

Just to check in with everyone with pricing info...it is all different. Pricing varies depending on the bike. Currently we have GSXR 600, 750, and 1000...R6...and CBR600RR clutches in stock. The CBR and R6 clutches we have are not production models and came straight from world supersport teams that tested them. Production runs on the Yamaha clutches and Honda clutches will be completed no later than the end of April according to STM. The pricing for the GSXR 600 and 750 clutches are 948.60 with proof of CCS membership. GSXR 1000 clutches are 1107.00 with proof of CCS membership. The CBR600RR and R6 clutches are 1054.00, which is retail. We will not be discounting these clutches until the production runs are complete and more are available. We only have one of each. These clutches use the stock basket and clutch plates, so installation is headache free and pretty quick. Please give us a call with any questions you may have. We can also send literature out to anyone who requests some.
Ducati clutches are also available but there are choices and all the prices are different. If you are looking for a Ducati or Aprilia slipper clutch please call us for details so we can be sure we are pricing exactly what you want.
I believe slipper clutches from a TLS fit the Gsxr's!
Are those R6 parts for the newer R6's (03/04)? If so, do you have any for the older R6's.
What makes a clutch worth $1,000+ ?
If it uses the stock plates and backet then what are you getting?
I'm not heckling, just honestly curious.

The ability to drop 3 gears, dump the clutch and not blow the motor, lock up the back tire or hop the back tire to the moon...
Look at it as a "free wheel" similar to a bicycle.
The whole no engine braking factor might hinder a person though...
The actual hardware that you get is a new clutch hub assembly. The STM clutch does not use traditional clutch springs but instead a diaphram spring, which you can fine tune by buying different weight springs. Also, the STM, unlike a stock slipper found in Kaw 6RR's and the TL series operates on ball bearings to reduce friction and provide a better operating system. And yes mid corner downshifts and dropping a few gears going into corners is making time...and making time means making MONEY!
The whole no engine braking factor might hinder a person though..
But for those coming off of a two stroke, it would not be as hard a transition having to relearn the whole engine breaking routine.
Are these superstock legal??
Being a long time 2 stroke racer I would like to try one, but I have an SV.
It would be supersport legal, the rules say nothing about keeping the clutch assembly remaining "as produced".
