Title: HP Friday practice?
Post by: pnther15 on March 16, 2004, 01:30:01 PM
Ok, I see that Friday  at Heartland is for "licensed racers only", well since this is my first year I don't have a license yet.....so my question is, is there way for people that are taking the riders school Sat. (to get their license) to practice on Friday???  I hope so, because I've never been on the track there and NEED all the time there I can get....  TIA!

Dave,

I talked with Nancy Irwin last week about the Friday  practice.  The license requirement reduces the cost on insurance so I think that you may be out of luck.  If you've done an approved track school (STAR school, etc.) you could go ahead and apply for your license now so that you could do the track day on Friday.  Good luck!

Damn, that sucks....but it makes since.  I guess I don't mind sitting this one out, if it keeps them cheaper for everyone and me in the future.  I haven't done another school, just track days....thanks for checking into it for me!
