Title: Perform your civic duty!

Modify and Email this out to your co-workers and colleagues...

Hello,

As your local [insert company name here], it is my duty to share with you notice that this weekend holds the premiere event which kicks off the 2004 US Superbike season.  The Daytona 200, which is equivalent to the Daytona 500 of Nascar will air live on SpeedTV (check your cable or satellite guide) on:

Saturday 3/6/04
12:30 PM Central

If you enjoy sports or competition in general at all, take a minute to watch some of the action.  You will see what I do on all those 3 day weekends I'm on vacation for during the summer.  In fact, many of the riders you will see, are people I race against throughout the midwest.

What to watch for:
* The #123 "Jordan Jump" team.  This is a fellow racer of mine from Chicago, Tez Stewart, who I've raced against for the last few years.  He picked up a sponsorship from his good friend, the one and only Michael Jordan (yes, THAT Michael Jordan).  Tez is a club-level racer like me who has a LOT of talent, and now will show it against the factory sponsored riders on machinery which equals their huge budgets.  Definitely something to watch for.

* The new Honda CBR1000RR - My sponsorships and loyalty are all with  Honda, and this brand new bike will be interesting to watch.  Feel free to cheer on Miguel Duhammel on his 1000RR.

* 2-time winner, Aussie Matt Mladin on his Suzuki is being hailed as the favorite pick for this race.  Personally, I'll be wearing my "anybody but Mladin" shirt for this event.

If you watch this and enjoy it, come see, call or email me.  I'll share my racing schedule with you and you're welcome to come out to any of the Midwest tracks I'm at and enjoy the action up close and personal.  Unlike any other sport, Road Racing in the USA allows its fans full access to the entire paddock (the equivalent of hanging out in the locker room except we're all clothed).

That's really good....

... however that whole "Honda" thing - Well it needs a little work (Suzuki may be a better fit there).   ;)

Personally I will be cheering on Duhammel (and Tez too).  Why, just because I like the guy.

Nate, the 200 will be re-aired at 1 am Saturday night (Sunday morning?) on Speed.  Assuming you can't tape it at 1:30 pm (EST) on Saturday.

Don't forget the live ocverage of Fx and Superstock today at 3 pm.  Uhh... make that right now ;)

Yes, Anthony was suppose to ride but couldn't get his travel visa in time.

You know, there has to be a visa "priceless" commercial in there somewhere.  ;D

Mladin is running it.

Don't forget...

http://www.sportsmanspark.net

We're watching it all at Sportsman's Park Yamaha.  Should be food and all there at the shop while we watch.  And the new R1 is in.  I'll be there with my bike and Super Dave's Race Against Childhood Cancer T-shirts and stickers for sale....

I'll be there early to watch any of the other racing.  The BMW race will be awesome.
