congrats everyone that tackled Daytona this past week/weekend. The weather really sucked from what i hear for the first few days and that resulted in lots of crashes and tough going in general. That place is wild to say the least. For the 1st timers like Scuba Toe, you now know what all the hype is about. Lots of guys did the hammer school, even our resident GMD guy Steve B (well, he was an instructor not a student but it was his 1st time there).

lots of names i recognize come up. Very cool. I went over to watch on sunday with Jayson campbell and we saw some good racing. Saw southeast ccs rider and 1st year expert William meyers leading a race briefly in front of teh EMGO guys. Marco martinez was mixing it up in the front. Mills and Servis were showing the way on the sv650s, but what about Mike Barnes.. holy crap he was on a mission. Brian Shaw and Uncle Rick took 2nd i think in the overall team challenge as well. David webster was out on the new r1. THe Martinelli gang was out there with our resident Wizard who proceeded to test out the new multi color leathers. I dont know how many races Scott Quick was in but it was a bunch. Even saw the famous "SUPER Dave" out there just behind the super fast group that would break away. Nice goin Dave. My mentor Robert Jensen from way out in N. Dakota was impresive as always with a bunch of top finishes.
Yea, it sucked a bit being a spectator but i have many excuses.. wanna hear them???? Other riders, post up!
You forgot to mention Russ and I in the team challenge. We finished in 5th place after wadding my bike up in morning practice... 8)

... and don't forget that lil' cuttie Suicide Blonde (i'm a tad partial) winning the Ultra LW Superbike after someone snuck a ful blownfactory GP RSV250 onto the track...say? how did a Hydroplane make it through Tech Inspection for a canoe race?....
and yes Barney put on one of the best shows that weekend. Kudos to the Shaws on their race, but I understand Brian is pretty banged up though... get well "B" !
Class suitability is not part of tech inspection.
