Title: Check out these stands
Post by: Brett on September 01, 2002, 12:15:23 AM
Just made some new stands and wanted to see what you guys think.
This is a front that lifts from the side.

With matching rear.

It goes into a piece of pipe bolted to the front of the motor. Under the exhaust. It picks up from the side.

they look pretty sweet.  I was wondering where you mount the pipe to insert the jack into.  It has to be better than the old 2x4 and jack under the oilpan routine.

Hey Brett,

Got ya about W. Frankfort...  What part of the bike is the pipe stand supposed to lift?  I'm wondering if you can lift the whole bike if you use a steel rod and run it through the swingarm pivot...

No, in the swing arm pivot it will only lift the rear.
The piece of pipe that it lifts with is bolted to the front of the motor.
I am starting on one that will lift the whole bike.
