Title: Ready for Daytona?
Post by: Un-retired_racer on February 15, 2004, 02:50:51 PM
I'm not and there's no way my bike will be together in time (don't ask!).  Anyone got a Ultralightweight Superbike they'd be interested in renting?

sorry, no ultra lightweight bike (well, there is but the g/f wouldn't be happy with me giving away her ex250 streetbike).

I feel your plight, though.  I have my entire main bike still stripped to the frame which need assembly.  I'm waiting on a new frame which should be here tommorow.

spend 6 hours today to finally get a sparky out of buddy's R6. Built from parts (really)

I still need to get an exhaust system. My bike has not been started since Oct, when it stopped starting.

On the other hand, it looks awesome!

and the fork brace is sweet! I am sponsored by Superbrace and am a dealer now. The brace did my GS500 wonders...

Thanks, rub it in.  Things looked a little more positive when I stopped working on the thing last night at 3 am.  A couple more late nighters and it may just come together after all...

I just need to mount up my newly painted bodywork, which is in Florida (I'm in NC), then head back up the road for Daytona  ;D
However, my trailer is far from finished... hope we can get it at least road ready this week  :-/

Dafan, things go well with the bike??

Tiffiney- speaking of Ultra LW Superbike...any insight as to the size of the grid(s) at Daytona? Does there seem to be a decent amount of interest in the class?
