Title: Daytona Gearing
Post by: kevin_nolde on February 13, 2004, 10:28:13 AM
It has been while since I hit the high banks, what 520 gearing are people using on 2k+ gsxr 750s? Will 108 links fit?

1 tooth taller than stock, like 16x41 or 15x43/44, or similar ratio.

depends on the winds as well

-4 total?  damn, that bike must have been geared really short to start with then (to make up for all that lousy power. :D)

The gixxer's have been typicall -1 off the rear using stock gearing.  I went down 3 in the back but i had some serious engine which could pull a few teeth taller

LOL... Seriously though. at the hammer school Scott harwell was running -3 total on his Arclight zook 600. I was -4 but would rather have left at -3. I never got  a chance to draft the leader in my supersport race. The 636 was stock with just a full acropovic system and some VP fuel.

Like Harwell, I was -3 as well but I'm pretty sure, like mine, doesn't have a stock engine.
