Title: Off topic- Ice skating?
Post by: Super_KC124 on February 01, 2004, 06:32:28 AM
How thick should ice be before its kind of safe to skate on. (I race motorcycles so it doesn't have to be totally safe.) OK. What about safe safe in case my kids want to skate also?

Kev... I think 3"+ thickness would be fine.

If they don't have a zamboni, don't do it. :)

It was 3-4" It was perfect. No Zamboni required. It's been in the low teens for a couple of weeks and hasn't snowed. As smooth as glass. Puck handleing was a little iffy. It was raining just a tad. Skated for about an hour before the cops ran me off. B.S. I say! Isn't there a donut shop needing attention?  >:(

Hey, It's the off season. I'm up to 145 lbs. :o

Paul and Dawn, quick question. What gearing do I need for the various track we race. (I bought a 2001 SV650) You don't have to tell me which gear for which track, just a list of sizes to buy. I'll figure the rest out. ;D
