I am just so sick and tired of working. Is there anyone else that just wants to quit their high dollar job and go racing?
All I want to do is motorcycle sh*t. Nothing else. I would even settle for track days.
Please, is there anyone else that can relate? Will the weather ever climb above freezing?
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!
Your preaching to the quior....
quit yer whining, at least you HAVE a job.
:( :( :(

Oh, I can definitely relate. Stuck in a cubicle all day. I'm getting the 5 yr itch with the company, but it pays real good, and supports my racing habit. Still, I hate getting up in the mornings to go to work. The weekends come, and I'm up early working on bike stuff.
Retirement is 28 years away for me. :(
I hear ya brother...Wish I could do nothing but motorcycle sh*t....such is life.
Only the lucky get to retire early and live the dream...
I was thinking the same thing over the past few days. I guess waking up day after day to 10 to 12 below zero temperatures, oh yeah, don't forget about the wind chill advisory/warnings :P ::)
Hey! Things are looking up! It's only supposed to get down to 5 tonight.
Life right now is pretty boring. Is it time to go racing yet?
Dawn :)
You people need ice bikes...
Or at least friends that have them. You're missing out.

Uh, that would require ice, and lots of it. The only ice I've got is what's in my freezer. Tucson winters. ;D

I would ice race if it was warmer, like maybe 60 ;D I can't stand this cold weather! -8 without windchill factor sucks >:( What ever happened to global warming??? I going to go buy as many aresol cans I can find. ;D
I feel your pain, 9-5 in an office with no sun light, no fresh air, office politics, bad coffee, etc... I've been recycling old BMW parts as a side job and hope it could make me self employed some day, however it's about 15 degrees out and I have to go pull a 535 engine & trans. There will be lots of sunshine and fresh air though 8)

Actually, I find that it's the most comfortable ice riding when it's -10 to +10 degrees. +20 and above, you get too hot.
As for warmer climates...well, we sold those "warmer" areas to you so we could have the ice to ourselves....
:P
I could never aford to race all year anyway. I can't aford it as it is, right?
I did just that. Quite the full time police gig and found a way to do the two things I love.
Racing motorcycles and working with kids!
It's not that hard....just fill out that little slip called a letter of resignation.
I wake up everyday with a big smile doing what I love to do. Yeah, I'm definitely the sole person that's responsible for my economic viability, but it sure beats going to a job you don't like bitching about all day long....thinking someday I'll do something different.
Create a way to do it!

Himm......
Funny you should say that. After we dropped Paul's SV engine off at Motorcycle Performance in Madison, we stopped at a few dealers.
Young America gave us a really good deal. We traded in Paul's 01 'Busa for an 03 Honda CRF450R and an 03 Honda CRF150R. Jets and a some studs and we should be OK to go!
Dawn ;D
Do you even need to jet the CRFs?
I want the CRF230 myself...
Heather logged in as Stumpy again
Heather:
The colder the weather the larger the main jet and the slow jet should be.
On the 450 it comes stock with the 170 main jet and a 42 slow jet. For temperatures -12 to 20 degrees they recommend a 175 main jet and a 45 slow jet or it runs to lean.
Now all I need to do is find a cart for the 150.
Dawn :)
