This will be my first year racing, and I wanted to know if I could get a license before the the 3/28 races at Heartland Park? My schedule shows that there is a Friday License Clinic in April at Road America, but I live in K.C. so Heartland is alot closer, and I can't wait any longer!!! Thanks!
Also, I looked on the website to find out how much the Sport Rider Days cost and couldn't find it? Anybody? Thanks!
David
Looks like Learning curves has March 27th scheduled at heartland park
So to answer your question, Yes you could get your license before the 28th
go to http://learningcurves.com/ and sign up for the topika class. I am going to be in it as well so hope to see you there.
The class should cost you $150. There is a sport riders day on Friday the 26th but I dont know the cost. I am planning on riding that as well to get some more experience on the track.

Are you sure? I though that all races were on Sunday at Topeka this year.
Saturday is a SRD day, and LCR would probably have their program that day during the SRD program.
Just not enough entries at Topeka...
But I don't know what's happening there. Maybe it changed?
Dave. I was going off of the learning curves website. These dates are also in their 2004 brochure.
3/26 - LP Sport riders days
3/27 - Race licence clinic
3/28 - Race day (from ccs schedule)
I cant find squat regarding the LP schedule other than at learningcurves since ccs doesnt have their website updated with that info.
I'll send Rick Breuer an email to see if I can confirm the dates listed.
Licensing clinics will be held on Saturday (during the practice day) for the Sunday only races. We are planning a school for Topeka in March.
Thanks for cleaning that up.
Nice seeing you...in passing...yesterday. ;D
Thanks for the info.
Forgive me if I sound ignorant, but is there anything gong on friday or does the weekend start saturday?
Good question.
Here's the catch...
Blackhawk has races put on by CCS. Blackhawk Farms puts on open practice days on the Fridays before all racing events.
Ray Irwin, owner of Blackhawk Farms Raceway, bought Heartland Park Topeka last year. Not sure if he'll have the same program with a Friday practice. You'd have to have a road race license before then.
But there is this nice little place just up the road called "Baby Dolls"...uh, great steak dinners for like $9.99 ;D

Now that would be way cool! Dave, you'll have to bring Mike and I for um, steak, since we didn't find the other place you recomended in Daytona. ;D
I don't think I'll be going to Heartland Park, if you miss it... Well, if you miss it, I don't need to be showing you where it's at.
Port Orange Steak House...that's not the easiest place to find.
This is probably how the Heartland schedule will look...

Really wasn't much time to speak to everyone. Maybe we should have a 2 day banquet next year ;)
