I'm so relieved to hear that you boys won't all be passing me on the third lap in those combined Ex/Am races anymore!  It was getting pretty embarrassing to keep getting my @$$ handed to me by a bunch of snot-nosed amateurs!

not to belittle the time, but that was because there were 2 beacons transmitting that day!!!

I think that it was more like a 1:13:01....

oh wait...that was mine ;D

anyway...I'm still excited.

Steve, Stumpy couldn't bear the thought of having to get left behind next year with all of the slow
AM's... so he's changen colors....
At least Jeff Kufaulk can go back to being an amateur with Simon...now that there is a spot open ;D :o

Anthony.... do hear the rumble of a GSXR 1000

Ahhh... youth is so wasted on the young...  Talk your smack skippy.  I have no desire to go backwards and I'm pretty sure that not even you could write a successful petition for me to do so.

LOL... Once upon a time I thought the exact way you write right now.  Wait til spring.  I'm confident your tune will change.  While there's a remote chance that it won't (change), I'm pretty sure it will.

Move up and you'll kiss the following things goodbye:
Long leads
Killer launches
Recovering from mistakes

The light will come on bucky, and you WILL be surprised.  And I'll be cool enough to simply laugh in silence versus over the loudspeaker such as you so often times choose to do.

See ya on the grid...  8)

Ok, Ok, I thought the 1:11 sounded fast too, But it came straight from my wifes wrist watch :P It was a little off from my lap timer but you can't trust those things ;D Oh Jeff, now you have another RR out there with ya, We'll help each other out..Swatting those R6's off our backs ;)

LOL.....  I know...  ;D  It's all done outta love...

In all absolute seriousness though, just wait.  It's an eye-opener that words can't really describe.  You figure since you can run lap times that are very comparable to the top experts that you'll have it in the bag.  You won't...

A little mistake as a top AM meant your lead would slim down.  A little mistake while running with lead experts means 2-3 people go past you...

It'll be fun no matter what though...   ;D   :-*  :-*

All you have to do is remove a plug wire, works everytime! :D Save's on tires too. Are just racing Heavy weight and Unlimited? Or are you racing kids bikes too? (600's)

i'm gonna try race the little boys bikes as well, but with moto gp champion 2020 on the way, i dont know if i can afford to run two bikes, a motor home and a trailer and a few dirt bikes as well.

ice tires are more expensive than i thought but should have them this weekend.tried that ice stuff last weekend.

it's a bit mad,,,,,, :D :D :D, but i like it.

i hope it stays cold for a while, at least until the end of march ;) ;).

hey benji,
which one have you got??

i will have to win the lottery first.

Doesn't the GSXR 1000 have to run something that reduces it's power as/per the AMA, like a restrictive throttle body size or something? I thought I remembered that being done so the thing wouldn't be so dominant when they 1st started racing them. If that is the case, I wonder if that restriction was being used on the GSXR and not on the new Honda at the tire tests? That would make a big difference at Daytona. Anybody know the answer to this one?

Yamaha dates are usually similar year after year...

But come on...

Suzuki pay's $5k for the win at a finale at the same track year after year...ok, one year they had it in California.  Before your time...

But Yamaha pays $2k every weekend for two classes for two bikes.  I'll take $2k every weekend.  Denning took home $8k in Yamaha money at Blackhawk the weekend after Mladin took home $4k from his Laguna AMA Superbike win.

And go check Yamaha parts prices.  That alone is worth alone is worth it.  Enjoy it while you got it.

Ok, I will say this...

I've watched racers for a long time.  For some the transition isn't easy.  It can mess with your mind.  It's hard ball out there, and some don't do as well as they did the year before.  I don't have good reasons, but I have worked with people to overcome those problems.

Yeah, you should learn a few things, but the games are a lot different in the expert races when compared to the amateur stuff.  Just an observation.

just to stir the pot. Tiffiney posted on here not more than 2 months ago, if anyone finish top 3 in the ROC in a popular class, there should be no reason why he/she should not move to Expert.

Well there is one 2nd/3rd/5th place finisher at 03 ROC that is sporting a yellow plate on the list.

ask thorny how hard it was to beat him ;)

personally, I am past that, if thats what they aspire to and what they want to go for, good for them. I just dont think its fair and it is just not a good thing when rules are intepreted in ways that no one understand. A little perceived consistence can go a long way dont you agree?
