What's up? I got referred here by Scott Greenwood, I know the guy who does his helmets. He's awesome, you should check him out! Oh, and Scott is a-ok too...;) lol
Anyway, I'm sure I'll get the opportunity to meet more of you over the coming season, I'm hoping to do at least some CCS races at Blackhawk and Road America on my GSX-R750. So if you see me coming up behind you, just move on out of the way and we'll have no problems whatsoever! lol Seriously though, I just bought a KTM 525 SMC from HMC last week and am going to set it up for some ice riding to at least get a feel for it before the season starts. I know I'll probably break my collarbone, left leg, right arm, all the fingers of my right hand and smash my orbital bone on someone's handlebar, but I'm looking forward to it anyway. So who else rips around on one of these bikes? I'm a real newb to this kind of riding. Anyone from the Milwaukee area? I have my bike at my shop in West Bend parked in my office right next to my gixxer so they're both nice and toasty. It also lends a nice homey feel with the race gas permeating the air!
Check out Superbikers2.com and dieseljoe.com for all the local motard and ice race info.
Hey Atrismo. Hows it going?
Havent seen ya since I got banned from SBN. ;D
A guy I work with ice races at Lake Koshkonong, he has a blast doing it. I have gone and watched him before, but I haven't done it myself.
Hey, welcome, Artistimo! Nice to see you here.
I like Scott's helmets and what you did. I personally need a bigger budget to get 'em painted though.
Did you put up a link to your site with helmets and stuff?
Welcome! I met you at the Chicago bike show last year. (I was with Amber; I think she goes by Amber6 on SBN?). Your work is awesome!
QuoteDid you put up a link to your site with helmets and stuff?
Ditto. Met you at RA last year, but couldn't find your website after that. Roger no longer does helmets and your work is awesome. It would be good to have somewhere to send folks to take a look at your art! 8) ;D
Cool, thanks for the links! I'm definitely going to check this stuff out if i ever get a chance to sit at the computer for longer than five minutues...Just discussed possible set-ups for ice tires yesterday with Mitch Hansen, it's cool because we are both running the same bike so I'm buying parts off him. Man, I can't wait! (Ok, which bone am I gonna break first...)
I'm sure I'd recognize you if I saw you again tigerblade, and I do remember meeting Amber's posse at the show. I want to do this year's, but with the new bike, limited time, etc., it's not going to happen. So I'll display at Road America during the AMA weekend and probably the FUSA weekend too. Plus I'll be at as many CCS races as I can.
As for the website, I think the guy who designed it must have died or something! I paid for it, I saw the site (it looks SWEET) before it was scheduled to go up, but I haven't heard from the guy for going on two months now. So I'm in the process of trying to track him down or figure out what happened, it's pretty embarassing to have a site that says "Coming Spring 2003" in big banner letters, huh? lol It's www.artistimo.com
Spyderchick, I'm glad you posted! I was actually trying to find your site before, but I was looking for "Spider" not "Spyder" Oh well! I'll definitely be contacting you soon for some logowork on my leathers and a few minor repairs suffered in a get-off on Mt. Palomar where some of the seams on the leg stitching came apart.
You coming over to Corse Superbikes for their party on February 3rd?
Virgil invited me over. See you there?
Yeah, I'll definitely be there. I painted Virgil's helmet not too long ago. In fact, I'm going to talk to them about possibly displaying a few things during the open house, since I do have a Hawaiian-themed Lilo and Stitch helmet which should fit in nicely...
Sweet. I'll see you there. Don't get anyone talking about what I'll be wearing...
