Tiffiney,
I have a question regarding the Spring Daytona Dates.
We know that the AMA event is on March 3-6 (Wednesday - Saturday) with the change of the 200 on Saturday now instead of Sunday.
Our mailer has a bit of conflict in it.... The CCS & FUSA Date on the schedule (pg 18 on the .pdf mailer, http://www.formulausa.com/pdf_files/2004%20Renewal%20Mailer.pdf ) for Daytona states Feb. 26-29 (Thursday-Sunday), but the tenative Formula USA Schedule (Pg. 3) shows Daytona as Feb. 24-28 (tuesday-saturday).
So just curious if its the standard Team Hammer on Wednesday, CCS/FUSA Thursday-Sunday or are we moved up a day because AMA moved up a day.
Can you clarify the dates for us?
Thank you,
Scott Greenwood
oh quit yer bitchin, you don't need the practice.
:D :D :D :D
Hey, Scott...
AHRMA still has Monday/Tuesday regardless (March 1/2), so the 26th to the 29th should be the dates.
Thanks Tiffiney-Adam and Super Tiffiney-Dave.... ;D
I didnt know what dates for sure AHMRA had so with that being the case.... it makes sense we would have our regular thurs.-sunday deal.
Thanks
QuoteThanks Tiffiney-Adam and Super Tiffiney-Dave.... ;D
You can call me anything you like...XOXOX!
LOL!
;D
R6 again? That seems to be a silly question. Argo gig?
More AMA? Where's the money at this year? Just Yamaha money?
On another note...I think the guy that painted your helmet was from out my way. Did you like it?
Hey Dave....
R6's again for sure. ARGO's is still helping out my efforts and the tenative plan is to do full FUSA (wheres the PURSE?? :-) ) some AMA's and a few regional events here and there. I got a CRF450 for the ice (if it ever freezes) and to road race at Loudon this year when I am home.
My helmet painter is awesome! He is from the Milwaukee Area and does excellent work for reasonable prices. He is still working on his website ... www.artistimo.com and his email is artistimo@artistimo.com.
He has done two for me so far. Both were done by my describing what I wanted via email to him and him putting his artistic touch to it. Very happy with him!
My first helmet I told him I wanted the charactors from the Veggie Tale movies my kids like. He had no clue what they were, did the research and they came out perfectly. http://www.formulausapics.com/2003VA/NRRS/imagepages/image34.htm
The second helmet he did, u can see here at the FUSA Site... http://www.formulausa.com/index_roadrace.asp
As far as money.... what are you talking about? Do u mean to tell me people actually get money to ride these motorbikes???!?!?!

LOL, no, I was talking about that FUSA purse thing too. Kind of blows. Will Yamaha fund that Kneedraggers thing again, or what?
Really hoping to put some funding, and some mental effort, to do FUSA...
Super Dave's 2004 Race Against Childhood Cancer.Same R6 as last year. But, when I saw you last, just had a slip on and a stock front end with Hyperpro springs. It was murder at Heartland Park without good dampening.
You can feel free to give me all of your gearing info for the FUSA tracks... ;D
Kneedraggers is out for 2004 and while it was supported by Yamaha is was funded by them.
I will be glad to help you with gearing info that I have.. but I only rode the bike at Heartland Park, Summit, NHIS & Daytona.... where did I put those napkins with the notes on it ?? ;-)
I heard of your program for next year "Super Dave's 2004 Race Against Childhood Cancer", Best of Luck with it.
Cya in Daytona
Scott
You heard about it? Wow, traveled fast...
And I haven't even formally announced it....
Hey, those would help me. Can you e-mail them to me?

Jeff riding with you again? Or is he really jazzed on Supermoto? He did really well at Virginia, and I was watching the results for him after that. Didn't seem to do as well as at Virginia though.
We have some ice here. PJ, the guy that was with me at Loudon in '99, has a TTR125 that he's racing tomorrow in Wausua, WI. They're colder there. I think it's going to be 5 by Wednesday, so I'm hoping to ride everyone else's bike next weekend. Then I've got to do the Pinewood Derby the weekend after that... How old are your kids? Girls? Boys?
Jeff is pumped up on the Supermoto thing. He is planning a full season of supermoto and a few AMA events and maybe FUSA ( if they get some purse $$ ;-) ). So he will traveling mostly on his own and I will traveling mostly on my own this year. He did well at a few other events and was hurt for a few events. I watched him in Vegas and I think it was a feat just to make the main! It sure looks fun but man they ride their asses off!
As far as your program, my brother forwarded me an email that he recieved from the 125 list or something that was explained all about it.
I have a 7 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. They want me to stud up the xr50's for them to ride on the ice! UhOh! :-)
Yeah, I did a dirt track event, not a big one, with Jesse Janisch and his family. Made the main. Ain't easy but it was fun.
Two boys here. Seven and five. PW50, but no one is motivated to really ride. The five year old wadded when he was three. Both have been quiet about it. We have a new Game Cube now too, so we're screwed...LOL.
You know anyting about the Vegas track? Is it just the infield course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway?
vegas?

I think I met him last year at the Chicago cycle show. Does he have hearing problems? Does awesome work for sure.

That is vegas..but not the classic course.... that is the main track that uses the oval. The classic course is located on the property and seperate from the oval. CCS has had races there in the past. I have a track map and description somewhere & will try and dig it up and post.
Good, I wasn't exactly excited about racing in an oval like that. Reminds me of Phoenix.
But the Classic Course is on the LVMS grounds? Would make it easier to find...but it's probably in the middle of no where like most tracks? But then again, I don't know.... 8)
damn, i thought that 'Vegas' map was a joke. Looked almost exactly like Daytona!!
Scott--did you do any ice racing last year? I was out there in Sturbridge with Jeff/Eric/Joe and Glen. Stuff is a blast though they got tighter on rules this year--front and rear fenders and NO canadian screwz

Not too many ways to build a road course "in" an oval. Vegas' oval is 1.5 miles, but Daytona is 2.5. It is a big place.
^bump^ ... for an official reply from Tiffiney or CCS.

She might be getting into that blissful, pregnant stage when forgetfulness becomes a little problematic....LOL!
TIIIFFF!
Oh my gosh, guys, I'm sorry but I don't read every post on here!
The Daytona dates are as follows:
Feb 25-Team Hammer
Feb 26-Practice and Team Challenge
Feb 27-Racing
Feb 28-Racing
Feb 29-Racing
This is a general schedule, and like everything in life, changes are possible.
P.S.--Dafan, people who don't bash me usually get answered faster. ;D
Thank you Tiff! Hope all is well and see you in a month or so....
