I need to clarify entry/licensing issues real quick.
For the first time ever, you may enter Daytona NOW on the forms provided in the license renewal packet. HOWEVER, you must have a license for 2004 before we can process an entry. For example, you cannot fax in your Daytona entry today and mail in your license application next week. This will result in your entry being denied and shreded. Please don't do this to yourself! To enter a 2004 race, you must have a 2004 license. If you'd like, you can mail the entry and the license application together, that's fine too.
Good luck, and we'll see you next season!
can we pre-reg online? It seems like the forms always take forever to get to me (if they ever even show up). It'd be nice to be further forward on the grid.

Paranoid? ;D

more than you can possibly imagine.
The 2004 forms aren't online yet, but they should be shortly.
and you dont have an 04 lic anyway adam. just cause you are snowed in and have nothing better to do
hehehehehehehehe
I renew through LRRS, I submitted my forms back in September.
Tiff so does this meen my entry lays in a pile with my lic. untill you give me my new number, or does it get posted and updated later.
and what kind of wine do you need. ;D
when can we expect to get license renewal and Daytona entries in the mail?
Dumb question - so I appologise. But can I join CCS and go and race Daytona? I race WERA, but I had a feeling the race of champions was a bit like the GNF - you can't just show up, get a licence and race......????
Oh, by the way - this is my first post, so hello there :)

yes you can. spring daytona is just a FUSA event combined with regionals for MA/SE/FL. The fall ROC is open to any CCS racer, although if you are just getting a CCS license before Daytona you will be gridded in the back no matter what. It is however open to all license holders, not invitational based, or qualification necessary.
Excellent :) So, with my WERA licence can I simply show up for practicein Dytona, buy a CCS licence and get out there? Or do I have to start from scratch with a racer school???
(on the WERA board I think I'd get the reply - RTFRB ;) )
A WERA license is acceptable proof of racing experience and you will be issued a coresponding CCS license (Nov=AM; Ex=Ex), Gridding is based on entry date so sign up for license and get registered for best grid position rather than waiting and grids possibly being closed. Many of the popular classes the grids are close to closed or closed by the time pre entry is done for Daytona races.
You'll probably be gridded better than a lot of CCS racers-I'm wondering if I'll ever see a renewal package........ :-/
