How are we supposed to survive the winter season? After five years in this circus, almost all my best friends are in racing. It's bad enough to not be riding, but to be denied the company of your best friends for an entire winter is almost too much to bear!
Oh well. At least we have the board...
Yeah Chris, I know what you mean. :'(
As you know we are suffering from RWS (racing withdrawal syndrome) too. We won't mention anything about Paul's attitude lately. ::)
I thought the only advantage of the off season is to allow our bank account to recover somewhat. However with household expenses lately (new chainsaw, new wash machine, new tires on my car, ect.) my checking account is still on life support. :-/ Now Christmas...... :o
Oh well, such is life.
Dawn :(

I was going to try and let my finances build back to make the summer easier with no overtime but then all the "extra" cash I'm making (not that much) is going into mods on the bike. Hopefully also going to pick up an SV. I still may have a project pit bike in the works, a buddie and I are going to build some mini choppers. Kinda cool eh? Been watching a bunch of past races....
Banquet is in January right? Feb, March, APRIL time to race again! Not really that far off... (yea right)
I know how u feel K3 but we have found a few ways around things.
1. All of the bike are at my place and Dannys so we work on them together. 10 min apart
2. Danny and are work out together 3 days a week
3. we all drink like fish ( like last night good lord)

Hey Mike, If they use Heartland Park as the 1st race of the year for us (like they use to do) then our 1st regional race will be at the end of March, which brings us even closer to racing season! ;D Usually cool to warm decent weather for that time of the year at that track, I always liked having that event at that time, great way to start the season. Not like the typical Wrath of God stuff we usually have for the 1st BHF event of the year!
This message board sure helps the 'off season' move along alot better. It helps staying in contact with others who have been mentally enlightened by roadracing motorcycles! ;) ;D
head down .. work, eat ,sleep, drink and then it will be time to race ..
Hey K3,
Get a TTR125 or XR100, studded up with some ice tires and get your butt up here to go ice riding from December to March. Lot's of racers show up (sometimes we get 30 bikes out on the track) and its a hoot!!! It also shows you how to slide around and if you crash, you get eight up and get going again...best winter blues cure I have ever seen!!!
I can't wait for the lakes to freeze!!!
I'd be so into that, but it's a 13 hour drive one way. I make all my extra money from winter overtime, so I sit at home, tied to my pager. Money good, no life bad...
Ice...yeah, I need cold here.
I'm planning on doing Daytona for the FUSA event in Feb and the AHRMA event immediately after on my H1. Just won some different triple clamps with less offset on e-bay...
