I've finished my annual list of who's getting bumped! Want to know if you're on it? Want to know who's going to try to cherry pick next year? I'm just kidding, but if you'd like to know ahead of time so you can start in on that petition, I'll be happy to let you know.
:D
Just making sure:
Nathaniel Reik

Smoke--Yep
Thanks... I told him and he's now crying :-X
No cherry picking for me. I am going to the white plates and will be changing the name of my team to "Backmarker Racing." ;D
Could you check on the Seasly clan? (Elaine #196 & Zac #414). Cause I wanna know if I need to start razzing my husband. ;)
MY goal was to make it. Did i? se am ccs #881
Seaslys--Both, YEP. Congrats! And razz him anyway, they like it.
Charles--Yep
Are you planning on posting the whole list?
I am afraid to ask..... Scott Myers CCS#717 GP
How about #199, MW T. Simmons
Can I get bumped SW #61 ;D

I think I know the answer... but just to make sure. What about me? (I still have that gum for you if I dont get bumped!) ;)
QuoteSeaslys--Both, YEP. Congrats! And razz him anyway, they like it.

Maybe I'm petitioning because my highest ever finish is a 7th, and performance index is somewhere around .3, so there little miss amatuer supersingles national champion :P
We can settle the bragging rights with a race, you on your MZ and me on my R6. ;D
-z.

No problem. You'll just have to run the R6 with only 1 spark plug in place. ;D
Thanks MELK-MAN!!! :D

QuoteSE #70

hey man only you know why you should stay yellow, instead of bumping to white ;) :P I bet ya if they tell people what to say in petitions, we will have 3 people on EX grids next year hahaha

Mark, if I have to (hoepfully not ;D), YOU have to. I need someone to chase since I can keep ahead of Kim now. ;D ;D
Oh BTW Tiff, is #940 MW on the list? ;D
Tiffiney check on MA #156 please. I sent you a PM also.
Thanks

Only if you keep the 600. ;)
Tiff...
What about me??
Will you guys accept the same petition letter from last year if I just change the dates???
Or should I try to work on a new excuse??
;D
I still haven't found my crayons. :'(
Tiff, How about MW AM #91 Tom Fredricks, I also noted that the points have not been changed.......I hope at least i get the proper awards at the banquet ;D, I would hate to have Rob walk past with my "stuff". It would scar me for life. ;D
Love Tom.
P.S. Your hair looks real nice today......That had nothing to do with a possible petition ;D
Since I see regional champions that got held down as amateurs...
And guys that made three events get bumped up to expert...
An expert is allowed to move down for one year right? Can I move down? I could do a really nice FUSA Unlimited GP series and the Blackhawk Championship...if I ride well...
For the benefit of those who will be submitting petitions to remain amateur for 2004 the following letter is provided. Feel free to fill in the blanks as needed.
Dear CCS,
I hereby petition to remain as an amateur for 2004 for the following reasons:
1. I never finished higher than _______ in any race during 2003. (note: delete this section if you had any finishes higher than 5th)
2. My racing budget for 2004 will only be $______.
Therefore I will only be able to attend ____ races.
(delete this section if the first figure is more than $1000 or the second figure is greater than 2)
3. Due to injuries sustained during the 2003 season I will have no/limited (delete as needed) use of my _______ (identify limb) until _________. (insert date here)
4. I am unclear what the ______ (insert color here) flag means.
5. I have yet to get my bike out of ______ (insert number) gear on the track.
6. I prefer to upshift/downshift (delete as appropriate) as I enter turn #1.
7. I will forward $_____ to the following charity in consideration of this request.
Please circle as appropriate.
- The Help a Girl Get a Bike Fund
- The Kevin Beer Fund
- The CCS Gum Fund (that's GUM not GUN)
- The Eric Brain Transplant Fund
Thank you for considering my request.
Sincerely,
__________ (Name)
__________ (Number)
__________ (Region)
__________ (Address of Mental Institution where you currently reside)
Oh my gosh, I have never laughed so hard in all of my life. Bonus points for RacerWannaBe for originality and creativity! (And mentioning the Girl Needs A Bike Fund.) Let me help you out a bit, though.
Point 2: Racing budgets don't help. I'm broke too, but I deal with it.
Point 3: Gimpiness only gets you so far...unless it's a really cool scar, then send pictures.
Point 4: Oh geez, we'll just take your whole license away and be done with it!
Point 5: Gears don't count either. I hardly get my Z50 out of second gear, but I'm still way cool.
Point 7: I'm not sure how this is valid...I'll read up on it.
Point 6: Very valid point--petition approved. ;D
Tiffiney,
Glad I could help out!
But, I'm surprised you didn't push the Eric Brain Transplant Fund. Or..... maybe you were afraid no one would donate because they consider it hopeless case!
Rick
Greg #70--Yep
Dave--I think you know the answer to that
Tom--Thanks for the complement! YEP
Super Dave--That's not very nice, now is it? Don't take out your frustrations about the whole bikini rule on our F40 racers. They can't help being old just like you can't help being hairy.
:-*
Oops...Not being mean.
Not picking on anyone if F40 either.
Just noticing some interesting trends. Not that it's new. Seems like every year there are guys that get bumped to expert for an unknown reason. They ask to be moved down, and they seem to have good reason, but they aren't.
Meanwhile...one expert gets moved down to amateur? Was that really necessary?
As for hair...sorry, I wasn't gifted with a lot of hair. ;D
How about me?? MW/GP AM #199.
I only raced with CCS one time this year and finished with one 1st and one 2nd.
Believe it or not, I actually want to be bumped up :o
Tiff... am I getting bumped? ???
All petition letters (or at least the creative ones) shoudl be posted next year along with the rejection reason.
I was just kidding Super Dave. But I don't bump people for no reason. If you have 500 points or a class championship or a top 5 finish at Daytona, you are bumped. There is no guess work about it. I review petitions on a case by case basis. What you believe is fair may not be the same criteria I'm looking at. As for that one expert, take that up with Mr. Elliott--I'm not even going down that road.
You know, the Eric Brain Transplant Fund was in operation for a while, but the Feds found out that Eric never had a brain to begin with (well, everybody knows that) so a couple of years in the pen later, here I am...kind of like that "I Love Lucy" episode where they raise money for the Women's European Relief Fund. Only I didn't even get to go to Europe. I just clean up Eric's drool.
Tracy: Nope, not yet
Mark: Nope, but I don't think I calculated it right
If you can't number to 7 correctly, maybe you SHOULD stay amateur. ;)
I think I will generate my own letter... :-X
;D
Tiff, does finishing top 5 in the ROC means you will get bumped NO MATTER WHAT? Just want to know. THanx

Yeah, I won't make you go there. Or Kevin, for that matter. I think the person will have enough to be proud about on their own.
Here's a legitimate question....
Wasn't the 500 points rule from the old points system that only paid down to like 15th or 20th place? Does seem awfully easy to get 500 points.

thanks
Oops!! Good point Greg.
I was typing with only one had since my right hand is still surgically attached to my abdomen for skin graft purposes. Guess maybe next time I should remember to safety wire my oil drain plug!! Then I wouldn't be in this mess.
(Thanks Greg, glad you were able to pick up on it.... everything I have written on this thread was done so with tongue firmly planted in cheek! I love to try and lighten up situations where people start squirming about having to write a letter on how crappy a racer they are!)
Rick
QuoteGuess maybe next time I should remember to safety wire my oil drain plug!! Then I wouldn't be in this mess.
I see you are doing your homework to stay yellow plated for life lol :P
Hope you heal soon. I need to get a skin graft myself, the scar on my knee is getting out of hand...
Dafan--YEP, if you place a top 5 at Daytona, there is no reason why you shouldn't be an expert. Seriously, who can disagree with that. Okay, Dave, before you answer that, given the itty bitty classes, other than those, who would argue in bumping at top 5 finish?
Wilke--At least say please or something...YEP
I heard a rumor that the Midwest experts are circulating a petition to have me bumped back to amateur... :-[
Hey K3,
I'll vote for that...if they let me go back down too
;)
SO tiff what abouts me again? ;D 940 midwest. Since they dont have the GTU results from Gateway up and points on teh site updated.
see if your name is on that list:

Ok... There is at least a half truth in your statement Rob. First off, even if you go Expert, I
WILL catch you and give you the razzberies on the way along with a giddyup slap! :o Second is that you finally made a correct statement when you said "I need someone to chase" cuz your gonna be chasing me all season! ;) By the way... Kim and I have a new nick name for you! hehehe!! Not gonna tell you what it is yet....! But we think its very fitting! lol!!!
QuoteMark: Nope, but I don't think I calculated it right
Sure you did!!! ;D But even if you didn't.... I still don't think I am anywhere close to making it.

Oh, yes. More often than not I post with the same attitude. :) I wouldn't like to admit I'm a crappy racer :P my argument is the experience aspect. What percent of 2004 experts have 3 race weekends (or less) under their belt? I don't wanna be the yammie-blue-pylon that still makes plenty of "newbie" mistakes, gettin in the way off all the pros. If I can get a decent year of racing in next season, I'll look forward to white in 05.
QuoteContingency cash... sure was nice while it lasted :P
oh i agreee., and will be crying all next year paying for my own tires... :(
but that is fine., there are others waiting too ....

Remember I know where you live and have access to MANY bugs like roaches, box elders, bed bugs.... ;D ;D ;D
How about GL AM# 86, Lee Davis ? I still have a lot of work to do before I try to go to the white plates.
QuoteRemember I know where you live and have access to MANY bugs like roaches, box elders, bed bugs.... ;D ;D ;D
All close personal friends of yours Rob? lol! :o ;D
