Wouldn't it be great if there was another class for 1000cc 4 cylinder motorcycles?!?
I was thinking of an Unlimited Superbike or have 1000cc 4 cylinder bikes be legal for Heavyweight Superbike.
I of course contacted CCS and relayed my opinoin..
UL Superbike. ;D
unlimited grand prix and GTO are both unlimited superbike..but more cause you can do MIL kits and not just head and crank work
Sorry, Matt, I think you're the only one that's looking for more classes to run for a 1000cc four. 8)
There might be as many GSXR1000's at Blackhawk as there are VTR250's.
If I end up getting a 1000 for next year, I am all for it!
QuoteUL Superbike. ;D
I raced that class the 1st 4 years I raced, then it disappeared.
When was that, Mike. I have no recolletion of it. Didn't exits ten years ago, I know that. Might have in 1995 to 1998, but I still don't recall it.

Your correct with the years Dave, and now that I think about it they may have dropped it after the '98 season, so I raced it 3 years not 4. I think I had a 6th place finish in that class at the ROC back in '98, I know I got a top 10 award certificate for my finish and barely missed a plaque (but I lost it when my house burned in '99).
I specifically remember that race because it was my 1st ROC and my 1st year expert. I was gridded on the 6th row (front row of the 2nd group) and the guy that was next to me on the grid was on a Muzzy Raptor with monster power (he won the race). On the start I left him so bad that he wasn't able to catch me until just before the chicane, I still remember him doing a double take looking over at me as he passed me.

My house got toasted in '99 too, must have been a good year to be a firefighter. :D :D

The clothes dryer took my house out! :o
Quote The clothes dryer to my house out! :o
Oh, I got ya beat by a long shot (us racers are always looking to compete :D)
Good ole insane grandpa mistook the stove/oven for a tv, turned on the knobs and left. Everybody left to do some shopping and some stuff which was on the stove caught fire.
Here's the real kicker--it was Dec 23rd. :(

Mine was January 16 and I was getting ready to go to my company Christmas party (yes after the fact) and put my clothes in the dryer that I was going to wear to the party. Got a phone call, 10 minutes later smell smoke, ran down stairs and the dryer was a blaze! Called 911, grabbed any containers with liquid in them from the refrigerator, and fought that fire as good as I could until the fire was rolling across the ceiling so badly that I barely got up the stairs out of the basement!
