Title: Roebling Praise
Post by: actiontek on July 24, 2002, 07:22:42 PM
I want to give a big THANKS to all the corner workers and track personnel last Saturday and Sunday. I had a low side on T 5 on Saturday and before I could get up the guys were right there seeing if I was alright and helping me move the bike further off. When my second bike wouldn't start on Sunday one of the cornerworkers took the time (it was before the race) to come over and help us push it. This is not enough, but I want you guys and girls to know I appreciate it. GREAT JOB. THANKS. :D

I second that!  My husband Chuck crashed in turn 1 and hit his head pretty hard.  He has crashed very few times in his 4 years of racing and this was the first time that the ambulance rolled.  I want to thank all the corner workers and safety crew and well as the officials who continually asked me how he was doing.  I want to especially thank the turn 1 corner worker who stopped by on Sunday to survey the damage and and to tell us what she saw happen.  Needless to say he didn't remember everything.

Cindy

How can we find out? Noone at the track, when I left, could tell me. Thanks.

Paul Farrell told me he was okay, they found a few broken ribs and the obvious bang on the head, but he is supposed to be in good shape otherwise. We will let you know as soon as we get an official report.
