So what is the deal with the regional awards banquet? Is there a seperate one for GL/GP/MW?? Has there been a definate location or time yet? 8)
If anyone would know its Dawn. ;)
The GL/MW banquet will be at the Lake Lawn Lodge near Lake Geneva, WI on January 17, 2004. Rooms are available for a discounted rate - I believe $79/night plus tax... check out www.lakelawnresort.com
GP will be held somewhere around St. Louis - don't know when yet.
Looks pretty classy? You sure they will let us in? ;D ;D
Yeah, what Kim said!
Dawn ;D

I used to pass it everyday for 8yrs on my way to Geneva. Airport right across the street from there. Cool when they have the WWII fighters show up.
I have been there many times, it's a typical resort type establishment, and yes it's a nice place.
Attn Oldguy! Did someone say airport? ;D

Ok, I knew about Lake Geneva, but I didn't know that the GP region was going to be held somewhere else...

They want to hold Great Plains banquet around St. Louis. One of the ideas shared at Gateway was holding it on one of the casino river boats (I don't think that it's Tiff's idea).
When Paul heard that he asked Tiffiney to send his GP trophys to the MW/GL banquet and she said it was no problem.
Dawn ;)

Yep. ;D Think we can borrow a plane and take Kim for a ride over the lake? Upside down and 15-20' above the water of course. ;D
BTW Kim, dont worry. I have no problems in taking off and flying around. Its the landings that I havent mastered yet. Thats what the parachute is for. ;D
Oldguy owns his own plane. Maybe if enough people asked him, he's show up for the banquet. ;D
Don't you have to actually COMPLETE the first lap to get an invite to the awards banquet? ;D ;D ;D
Come on down!
I'd bet that the one in Lake Geneva will really be fun.
Yes, and doesn't Oldguy have a pilot for a son as well!!!!! Come on Oldguy! It will be fun!
Plus I turn 29 that week (my 20s are running out quick--I'lll just have to start them all over again!) so come have a drink with me!

So ? ???
Dawn ;D
OK, where do we sign up?
You'll need to call CCS to buy tickets to the banqyet, and the resort to reserve a room. The resort can likely give you info on the airstrip.
It will be awesome if you come, Doug! (If only so I can pay you that $20 I owe you :-[)

Oh, so you heard I'm working the clubs there too?
It would be cool to fly in. If I'm not relocated to Chicago by then it would be easier for me... hope the weather in January is good for the flight down and the return to MN.

I think it's just a matter of paying for their plates...
QuoteSo ? ???
Dawn ;D
Guy thing... sorry!
So if Eddie and Doug both fly in, can we expect air races and dog fights as part of the entertainment? :o
FYI for those contemplating flying in to Lake Lawn Airport. There is no control tower. The approach is usually coming in from he south from the lake and RIGHT over Lake Lawn. 1 runway.
Heres a link to the info of the airport

Hmmmm, I think precision approaches are out of the question. Hope the weather holds.
Worst case scenerio? Land in Milwaukee and I'll come get you. How hard was that?
You're on! I'll get tickets. ;D
