Post by: Baltobuell on October 23, 2003, 08:07:13 PM
I've been kickin around getting something to short track for the winter at the indoors and a 96 Knight framed, Rotax 2stroke 250 popped up. Anybody have a clue if it's still compettitive or what it's worth?

Jesse Janisch dirt tracks.  His dad would probably know.

I can say that most dirt track stuff is going toward production bikes with production frames.  He races a CR250 in the Honda frame.  I think he'll be racing a CRF450 next year.  They have a Rotax motor in a frame that Steve Janisch built, and they are trying to sell it.  I think that will go for $5k or so.

How much do they want for the Knight 250?

It's only $2,700 but even in the picture it looks a little tired. With no gearing or spares included. Being an 8 year old 2 stroke with probably 8 year old suspension I'm sure it's been apart many times and being 3 states away I'm a little hesatant with the checkbook.
Just lookin for a little fun this winter.

Hey, for that kind of money...talk to my guys at Sportsmans Park in Delavan.  Get a TTR125.  They have a lake right in front of the shop, so we all play on the ice there on them.  It will be new!
