Been trying to help Jesse Janisch by phone when we can. He arrived on Thursday AM. Did fifteen laps of practice in two sessions, then ran the Team Challenge. The team he rode with moved up to 3rd in GTO and fifth overall, I think.
His dad, Steve, and I have talked a bit too. Trying to keep him in contact with some good people and think up some ideas here and there.
Jesse raced in GTU Friday. Since he just turned 16, he doesn't have very many points in any classes on his 600. There was a crash that caused a restart. But even with only five laps of a race, he managed to get fifth in GTU. I think he got into the 1:57 mark in that race.
Middleweight Supersport had him gridded further back. He ended up putting in times in the 1:55.7 range. I guess that put him as the second fastest 600 rider behind Scott Greenwood, winner of the AMA 600 Supersport race a couple of years ago at Loudon.
More races tomorrow. FUSA on Sunday. FUSA will be a blessing for him because the grid will be gridded by qualifying. His time's will put him toward the front and then he can try an work a little magic.
Anyway, my thoughts are with him.
I know that he's gotten a lot of help from the boys at 4&6... http://4and6.com
And that he's using the same Hyperpro shock and forksprings, and Micron exhaust that I have on my bike.
Good luck, Jesse. You'll do fine. Ride the bike like you do.
Go Jessie... Go Jessie.... GO!

;D
Yes he is doing ok so far , he does have a Hindle pipe though not a Micron. I have sent Owen over to also help him out.
Oops, my mistake, Jim.
It's Owen distributing a pipe and helmet now?
Jesse looks like he's kind of in the hunt, at this point. I'd be happy if he could put the bike in the top seven, but he might just be able to do a top five it he has some luck and things go his way. I think the purse money would help them.
I think Jim Allen is really working well with them too. He's a good man.
Owen is doing Arata and some helmets. I just heard he took a 2nd to Steve Rapp in some race,
Yeah. Talked to him again. Sixth in another, but third fastest time.
They made a change this AM that took out some trail, but I though last night that maybe they needed some more trail. I think they're gonna try that for MWGP. Keep your fingers crossed.
Jesse rocks. GO JESSE!!!!!!!!!!
