I knew I should have posted this earlier in the week. I think this topic will be very one-sided.  ;D

Ya know Kevin....

I saw this thread early in the game when the Packer's were up by 14.  Then I thought...  How devistating, first I bring back the "White or Yellow" thread, plus all the abuse you suffer at the track because of it, and now the Chiefs are going to lose.  Well, I couldn't bear to see you beaten down again.

So, at half time I called a few of my bud's on the team and said.. "Guys, I really need a favor from you.  You need to let the Chief's win or a friend of mine will be extremly devistated."  It took some talking, but I finally got them to agree to it.

I was worried for a while, we were up by 17, but my bud's didn't let me down.  They even made it look believable.

So there you go Kevin, I hope your happy.  Just so you know, they did it all for you.

Dawn   ;)

Could it be the Chiefs and the Panthers in the super bowl? Offensive powerhouse vs Defensive dominators!

Didn't catch the rest of the game after I replied. When I saw the final score I had a huge plate of crow....... Tasty things if cooked right though. Must have been the KC barbeque sauce?

Why do you guys talk about these "stick and ball" games?  They are games, not sports.

Sports...I think Hemmingway put it this way...

Mountain Climbing, Bull Fighting, and Motor Racing...the rest are just GAMES.

And there is NO I in TEAM.  So, these TEAM GAMES....

Still do like the Cornhuskers though.  Hard to have new kids every year or so and try to get them to work at the level that the University of Nebraska does with, I believe, the highest number of Academic All-Americans when compared to the other "top" teams.  Additionally, they have more "walk-on's" and local in state representation than many other teams.  Nebraska is rather small, population wise.  So, it does make a difference.  Some times you've got to get the kids to play from their heart.

Well TEAM Stumpy must be a sporting team then. ;D

If he was just Stumpy Racing, then the poor duffer would be out on the track with his long underwear suit on because he wouldn't be able to find his leather even though it's hanging right where it always is  ;).

If Stumpy is found unattended, please alert the BHF security immediately.   Thank you.

We actually talked to some of the Cornholer fans after the game at our favorite downtown bar.  At least the Nebraska fans are knowledgeable, unlike K State.  Those guys haven't figured out they're still like the 5th-losingist team of all time, yet they talk smack like they've got a tradition.   ::)

I don't know, Dave. As many broken bones and blown knees that happen in football, I would call it a sport. Baseball, however, too much standing around scrathing and spitting. ;D

Nope, game.  A ball, teams, goal posts...points to determine a winner and looser.  Game.  Back to Hemmingway.

Yeh, and would'nt it be nice to make a few million a year playing a game? ::)
