Title: CCS/ CMRA at No Problem Raceway
Post by: John Konopka on July 15, 2002, 09:25:01 PM
Why can't we get an organization such as yours at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA.  We are in dire need of someone with their act together.

Well the track has some issues as it is a Drag racing venue not as many problems as most drag strips since you enter the drag strip area after the VHT(?) ends and the fact there is no pit lane. With our large endurance series not having an adequete pit lane becomes a problem to run a race at another venue that does not accomadate a big bike (we run a mini, YSR, series also) endurance.
The issues of wall proximty can be medigated and we discussed the possibilty of running a sprint only event there but did not recieve a response to 2003 schedule until after the 2003 schedule was complete so don't look for a date until at the earliest of 2004.

PS other concern would be attendance as it is close to 10 hour drive for our average racer maybe racers from further east would make up for loss of "western" racers.

Thank you,

I am glad to see that you are at least looking into it.  We are still debating on whether to run mostly WERA or CCS races.  We have always had great experiences when we are at a CCS event.  Yet we have to travel at least 5 hours to TWS or further to race.  It is hard to pass up at least 2 race events at NPR here in LA.  I know the owner of the track is usually willing to help as much as he can, and we are always asking him to stay in contact with CCS.

Thank you.
