they seem to have updated the Mid-Atlantic and SE overall points. But it is wrong. My VIR points are not in there, and I wanna see my classes point...

another day of waiting

ccs,any idea on when we'll see a class pts. update for the mid atlantic and south east?
Title: Re: Please post VIR points!

what could possibly be taking soooooo long.  Couldn't this be automated in some fashion.  Trying to get sponsors set up for next season is frustrating when they are interested and check out the website to see things aren't updated.  Can someone give us a straight answer...when will the points be posted and accurate?  Seems like all they did was slap 7-10-2002 on an old list of name/points.

Forget the VIR results. How did the Roebling RD results and points disappear??? ??? Maybe it's just a bad dream and they'll all be back tomarrow ;D

It seems that they updated the schedule page to reflect the cancellations of Summit Point's new track. But they did it to a back up copy so the new editions are no longer there.

Maybe they need some professional help with the websites and points. Give me couple days and I can program a bug free system for updating results/points, and wouldn't take more than 4 hours after races on mondays to keep the schedule page update.

ClearChannel is in the Entertainment business, so they should understand Presentation is KEY. How are we suppose to attract outside of industry support/sponsorship if it seems that the CCS site is out of date and full of broken images.

We have no TV coverage, or barely any news coverage. The website is the ONLY official source of our exposure for our sport. If the freshest news is from Jan/Feb, I don't think anyone who is not in the industry is going to spend money on me because he/she/they are not going to be seen/heard/exposed to expcept for a few hundred people in the paddock, who are obviously immune to advertisement. Everyone have stickers and signs don't they?

It would take a half-time competent person to keep the website up to date within 48 hours of any event. It would help all of us.

Another thing, I see that there are nice articles written on races in Road Racing World, why aren't the articles on the website? Do CCS just not care? The site is the ONLY way of info for most of us. I go to the site twice a day, hoping to see something new...

HELLOOOOO...........
forgive me....no, forgive you! but it's a shame that midwest points havent
been updated since 6/12/02.......
it's more of a shame that i've been watchin the points board everyday since 7/4 or 7/5 .... ok, 7/2 waiting for the class points to show up from 6/29 and 30......

i'd realy like to be able to determine which races i can cut from the upcoming weekend so i can save up for the BIG weekend that follows..... but noooooo
....dont have a clear idea of the standings.....
 1st)  i like ccs, formula usa..clearchannel  (Alot)
but 2nd)  there has to be a way....period.

I made the mistake of leaving VIR almost three weeks ago and neglected to look at my finishes on the board, out of disapointmant. My disapontment has turned into a burning curiosity as i am in a points race for 1st in a class and am dying to figure out the standings at present. I am doing well right now and would love to show and try to atract more sponsers.

I have also noticed in this month Roadracing World CCS standings by region. I have been racing since 97 and wallowed in obscurity for years. I finally have made decent progress to place in the top three in my region only to see ONLY amatures regional point standings listed. Waht the F ?  Not only do they send us experts out first in morning practice ( my 2 amature years i went out first in amature practice ) but they completley disregard posting the results of our efforts. I race motorcycles to get laid and CCS ain't helpin !

Well, here is another voice of dissappointment about the slow posting of points.  The next VIR weekend is coming up and we don't have postings from the last VIR weekend.  Racers moved the mountain at summit point faster than points can be posted electronically for races!!!

Overall was updateat but apparently didn't include the last VIR. Which as we know hasn't been posted yet.

Add me to the long list of riders disapointed that the largest club racing organization can't do basic housekeeping... :-[ :'( :-/ >:( :(

I guess CCS shut down shop for the rest of the season!  How hard can it be to punch in a few numbers?  No respose...no updates...Should we accept anything less than the best, we sure pay for it when it comes time to license/entrance fees.  Maybe they should spend some of the money and hire a 10 year old to do some easy HTML, heck, he/she probably wouldn't even need a calculator!

I am very dissapointed in the CCS web site!!!!!!!!!!!! It should take no longer than a week for results to be posted from any race event. I'm not a computer specialist but I have a friend that has his own web site and he posts every thing within one week! And he is the only one that is in control of his site, and get this he also races. Go figure......
I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass but, It is important to those of us that  have to send updates to our sponsors! No updates no money! No money for us no money for CCS get it.....

Can someone tell me how i placed in the last VIR race ? This web site is a FUCKING JOKE !   I'm a patiaint person as i've been going to that Faciast Nazi Goose Steppin Police State we call Daytona twice a year since 96. Close this web site down so people won't falsley rely on it, as we can  process inforfmation more effectively between ourselves with soup cans and string.

Hugs and Kissses

You know i just signed up with CCS and now i really am wondering if i even want to race here...that is bad..i don't want to have to wait till next season to see how i did the last one...i own an internet services company....i am going to contact ccs and see if they want me to take this site over...at least it would get updated more than one twice a year...

Well I wasnt gonna tell, BUT...

I send a proposal and contract to CCS before the season. I proposed to keep the scoring/results/points up to date in less than a week after the race, all for FREE to CCS. I was going to run a web site with all points/standing/results information in a database for future viewing, and also set up a section of website where any licensed racer can go and create a page/site for him/herself with official stats/results on the site.

All these FREE to CCS, and I just wanted some publicity in return. And racers who wants the site set up will pay a small membership fee.

They didn't want to do it, and told me that they have some one in house to keep the results, and they can take care of that.

I thought offering something for FREE would get it moving, guess not. And there site still full of "2002 info coming soon" eventhough the season is 2/3 over.

I guess its just a business, racers don't really matter.

I was going to buy airfence sections and let CCS use at the regional races with my proceeds, and offer contigency/purses, but I guess it wasnt attractive enoguh for them.

Maybe I should offered to keep the website up by PAYING them  ???

hey kevin,
it was cool meeting you this past weekend, tho i'm sure i've seen you b4 and was too new to know.
anyway, the points issue is obviously frustrating for us racers (and im sure
you guys dont realy want alllll the complaints) but im hoping that maybe someone could "at least" give us a clue as to WHY it has been taking soo long.....
some may not take any excuse/reason as "good enough" but some will
prob be more patient if we knew what was going on, or at least thought that you guys thought enough of us to communicate (something) to us.......
you have to know most of us spend ourselves 'out' enough to feel that we deserve our points, or at least a reason why we dont see them....

sooo....., you having an attendance problem? trouble training? a young family member who doesnt care? or is this position simply that tough to fill ????

Hey everyone..i just wanted to let everyone know ...i talked to Kevin Elliott at ccs and was asking about why it was taking so long....not to defend them but this is what he said....something about a fed ex shipment from the VIR race getting lost and that there was only 2 of them in the office right now that is what is taking so long and that he should have the points posted in the next 2 or 3 days...just wanted to let eveyone know what i was told

did u mention our discussion regarding gridding? would they have a position on the subject?

Personally I am saving up to enter races next year. but it would be nice if the procedures can be looked at and possibly bettered (not a word) :D

Yes i did and after 20 reasons why not..they said they were not going to grid like that..and they seem to be pretty firm on it...i told them that we were going to come up with an idea in writing that would work for everyone including them..i was going to post that but haven't gotten to it yet...but if we can get together and come up with something for them to see on paper maybe we can at least get them to think about it

it looks as if some race results from the june 28-30 event at vir have been posted, but the total points (per class and overall) are still incorrect.  but we have some progress!!!

progress.. yes, but barely.  I'm afraid to even ask for the Summit and roebling results... those should probably be up by the time ROC rolls around.

they usually have points printed at events, so maybe it is just the webstie.

otherwise gridding at ROC may be hairy
