Yup.  Dropped another valve.  Got 70 miles out of this one.
Dawn Buxton told me that if they had had a year this bad, the would have quit by now.  Hmmmmm.  Was that a complement on my staying power or a gentle suggestion?

That's for you to decide.

Put a Honda sticker on it.   ;D

I'd for sure take it as a compliment!!!  Our biggest issue this weekend was a broken elastic in the tire warmer and we about had a nervous breakdown!

Chris, I feel for you. That is just not right. It wouldn't be so bad if you knew what the problem was. Don't give up, maybe you're just getting all your bad luck out of the way in one year.

You said you re-shimmed the used head you purchased.  You must be doing something wrong.  This can not be a fluke, and although other racers have had valve and keeper problems, it is nothing like the problem you are having.  Dare I ask about a high lift cam if you are running supersport.  A high lift cam requires different keepers

Speaking of bad luck... :o  How are you and your bling-bling RC? :'(  I've tasted turn one a few times myself.  Not fun.

Stock everything.  No money for exotic stuff.  98 fuel injected cams.  Not even decked.  Shimmed to spec.  I've been building motors for 20 years, and the only one I ever blew was the one I learned to GP shift on.  Then came this SRAD...

Haven't even taken the bling-bling out of the trailer yet. Had to make a sales call to Canada, and just got back last night. Need to X-Ray my ankle today and then I'll look it over!

Bite Me! It's a condition I have to endure to race. Rule #1 from the wife...... fall down, get checked out. I can live with it!!!
