Anyone interested? ESPECIALLY if you've used plastic sliders in the past.
I'm thinking of doing knee sliders, and I want to test a few different materials. I may be looking for people this fall to do some testing for me and give me some feedback. if you're hard on your knee pucks, even better. I need to find the material that feels the best to the overall racer population, and wears well. I have about 3 or 4 in mind, so I'd be looking for probably 6-8 people. Even better if you'll be at NESBA at RA in October. We'll see though, I may not get to this until next year.

I am interested. I have two questions: What is your intent to now start making knee sliders? How are you going to be competitive price/stylewise?
Have you seen the lastest Sport Rider mag? I saw some frame sliders that had leds built-in that make the sliders lightup in different colors.

Oddly the set that comes with Joe Rocket leathers are my Favorite so far! (I wear an AGV suit)

I did some testing for Vanson in different compounds that they were trying. I think I'm even the "knee" in the Vanson catalog.
You know I'll try some and hook you up with a nice write up if you need me, but it's highly unlikely that you'll see me at Blackhawk anytime soon. ;D

I will test it for you. I am really hard on pucks, because I only wear 1 area, the top. And leathers grab, and plastics wear too fast. I end up rotating and keep the worn puck there. Or I would eat a puck a race.
Would be nice to see a hard material that is not overly grabby and wear slow and not too loud, and not too heavy. I know I am asking a lot, but I would be willing to test.

Your velcro might be in the wrong place. It's hard to find the sweet spot, but if you are having to rotate pucks, they're not laying "flat" enough to the pavement. Just a little something to consider.
Dave...I'd be glad to come there if I lived closer. It takes 5.5 hours just to get out of Florida from here...lol. ;)

If your interested, I go threw at least one per weekend (left or right side depending on track) St. Louis would be Two lefts and a right.
