How fast did this guy have to be going to flip the car over after he hit it?......
3 are killed in collision of car, speeding motorcycle

Three people are dead after a motorcycle traveling more than 100 mph crashed into a car trying to cross a four-lane highway in northern Jefferson County, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Authorities said Bernice Bruning of Maryland Heights had tried to drive her 1995 Buick LeSabre across Highway M at Old Lemay Ferry Road about 8 p.m. Sunday. Before Bruning could get through the intersection, her car was struck by a motorcycle driven by Jeremy Desroche of Imperial.
Bruning, 79, and Desroche, 24, died at the scene. Amanda R. Kaut, 21, of Imperial, died Monday of injuries suffered in the accident. She was riding on the back of the motorcycle. Bruning's husband, Walter Bruning, 81, was the sole survivor of the accident. He was listed in fair condition Monday at St. Anthony's Medical Center in south St. Louis County.
Desroche and Kaut were wearing motorcycle helmets and the Brunings were wearing their seat belts, authorities said.
Highway Patrol Cpl. Jon Parrish said Desroche technically had the right of way, but he said it would be easy for a driver to misjudge the motorcycle's high speed.
Parrish added that cars often survive collisions with motorcycles without serious damage, but Desroche's breakneck speed in effect turned his 1995 Ducati motorcycle into a 500-pound cannonball. The collision threw Desroche and Kaut off the motorcycle and flipped the car upside down.
"The fact that the car was flipped over really shows how fast (Desroche) was driving. Motorcycles don't usually do that to cars," Parrish said.
ouchies!!!
man, that sux :-/

how fast? ummm, +100 easily.
"500lb cannonball". Let's say the bike was 450lb wet. Add to that a modest 175lb rider, 125lb passenger and another 25lbs for those two helmets (did lots of good here), etc. 675lbs +100mph... That'll do a LOT of damage...

i feel bad for the girl that was on the back of the bike.
Quotei feel bad for the girl that was on the back of the bike.
My thoughts as well. Hopefully she didn't suffer much, considering the impact. I know if I died at summit that day I wouldn't have suffered (cuz I don't remember any)
Don't be dumb enough to get on the back of a bike with a moron twisting the throttle...
I don't feel bad at all except for the families of all, especially the car folks who are the real victims here.

Taken from Missouri state highway patrol page.
I'm suprised they don't mention high rate of speed for the bike. I would think they would.
What a waste of a good bike - Ducati 916. And surprise!! - no insurance!!
Kind of explains why it cost me over $900 a year for my '96 Ducati 900 SS SP.

And this is how i heard about this thank you guys. So much her mom has ben trying to get all this off hear. you guys are all ass holes. i Hope you never have to loos some one you love like this. Thay was just kids and kids do dumb things. We all have. but most dont pay like thay did. All this time. i was thinking she was in school makeing a life for her self. And this is what i see. i live by ware it happin now when i have to go that way i just feel so bad. Its ben along time but for me it just happined. how could people be like you guys are. how can you talk of some one like that.
So you dug up a 8 yr old post to bitch incoherently? Geesh.
Sweet girl... An accident like this is going to be talked about when it happened (as someone said 8 years ago). It's tragic, but it also gives something to be learned from. You dug it up again when it could have been left alone.
What's your agenda? Were you drunk when you posted? Good Lord, you even edited your post and still couldn't get the spelling, grammer, and punctuation correct.
Are you kidding me?
Until your resurrection of this post today and insistence that it be removed, nobody has "tried to get this off this site".
Seriously, like I said in my email reply to your "report" of this post. Don't waste your time ruining her memory by digging up 8 year old posts on the internet.
I'm sorry for your loss, but really, had you let this go and not commented, nobody would be thinking or talking about it today.
And if you let it go and don't reply, within a few hours it'll probably be off the first page and continue to get buried deeper and deeper from existence. Just let it go.

Agreed. Not much action on this forum like years ago, and that probably goes for many forums, for that matter. Amazing that there's a core group of regular posters from years ago that are online today.
Let it go.
