Title: How about those lap times at BHF woah!
Post by: Eddie#200 on July 21, 2003, 01:13:17 PM
I have a time sheet with Denning spinning 109.889. Did he do better than that?   :o

Eddie:

If I remember right, there may have been a 1.09.062.

But don't quote me on that.

It depends if his times were taken from T5 or T1.  But his fastest laps came from being taken on the front straight.  ;D

I do believe that it was a 1:09.898, or something.

Like I said in November, the track is about two seconds faster now...

Depending upon where your beacon is... 8)

I hate that I missed the races.  I would have loved to be around and hear all of the talk about the lap record being broken by almost two seconds.  Is Larry D. trying to get all of the track records in the Mid-West.  Until Batey beat the lap record at Grattan this past weekend.  Larry had the track record at Gingerman, Grattan and maybe a few other tracks.

Was the 1:09.898 on his R1?

What were Tez's and Purk's times like?

Larry was on his R1.  I think between Larry and Shawn, they had 25 laps below the 1:11.9 that Steve Johnson did.  Larry was into the 10's on his R6.

Tez wasn't riding a very good handling 600.  I can't speak for Purk's times or Tez's, but I was at a 12.6.  I was looking for 11's for the weekend, but I ran out of time.

10's on an '03 R6!

YAMAHA RULES!!!!! ;D

Dave:  a 12.6!? Awesome man!

Anyone want to loan me some money at 0% interest and deferred payment until 2005 so I can get an '03 R6?

A borrowed ride would be nice also.  ;D

Wasn't my best weekend at the hawk, that's for sure.
No testing and trying new stuff in a race is not good.
I made number of bad choices and it showed in my lap times. I was almost a second slower that I had been at the hawk three weeks ago (12.2). Oh well, you live, you learn. Gotta go back to my old settings and work from there.

when I momentarily passed Tez in a race as he was all squirrely, I knew he was having a REAL bad day...

Although he did seem to sort it out a bit as he whipped past me in the next lap.

I'm still in the paltry 16's, but they're my best times yet so I guess I'm going in the right direction.  After trying many things and continuing to sort out the RR, things are getting better.  However, on the 4th day on the track, I was a little ragged out mentally and physically.

I look forward to the next BHF and am shooting for 14's...

I was unable to attend the BHF event 7-19/20 due to a non-racing related back injury and was wondering if they did anything yet with the pits. BHF claimed they were going to pave the pits once it got warm enough, did they follow thru with their claim?
