Title: Q:Getting back into it
Post by: Poo on July 20, 2003, 08:52:22 AM
I havent had a race license since 2000 (amateur). Plan on going to RRR this weekend to get back into it. Still have old license. Is this good enough or will I have to take a school again. Thanks in advance.

You will need school, I'm afraid.  More than a year's lapse in license and experience, it would be best.

Welcome back, see you there.

Well I called CCS and they said that if your last racing license is more than 5 years old you must take a rider school. Being that my last license is only three years old I don't need to take the class. Just show up with the old license and my money.

Yes, after 5 years you must re-take/re-certify with an accredited school, after three years you must return as a Amateur until you demonstrate your abilities once again.

Good luck, and welcome back!
